PC gaming is back on the high-street!

Well I think it's great! My missus drags me to the Trafford Centre every couple of months so now I have something to actually see whilst I'm there now!! ;)

Repay the favour. Drag her a little more south before or after you've been to Trafford and come and see us at OcUK itself. Would be good to meet even more forum members in person. ;)

Interesting. The, Portsmouth store on, Commercial Road gets loads of traffic. I assume this is the one getting the display because we have 2, GAME stores. The other is inside the, Cascades and people generally only go to that one when the other one is packed.

Another step in the right direction is if, Steam gets a section too with a tangible, presentable item you can take to the counter and buy. Essentially it's just a CD key inside so it could be like a credit card size box with a nice credit card inside with the serial stamped on it.

The main idea is that in my opinion PC games are not giftable anymore. If I tell my, sister I want Just Cause 3 on PC for Xmas the first thing she'll do is goto, Commercial Road and go into, GAME. I don't want to give the hassle to someone of signing up to, Steam or GMG. So the only person I option to receiving games from as a gift is my, Brother who understands these facilities. My, Sister would be able to grasp it too but she would still want something for me to unwrap.

Sorry if this has been asked and I've missed it...

Will we be able to order stuff either online or in a game store from ocuk then have it delivered to one of these stores for pick up? As much as I love free dpd, I travel past game on my way home from work everyday, nipping in to pick something up would be far easier for me then waiting and probably missing a courier delivery :)

This seems like it will give some great publicity for OcUK. A lot of my friends don't shop on OcUK because they haven't really heard of them before, so much prefer to go on the rainforest.

Always walk into game when i am shopping, and think to myself why am i bothering to go in as there is nothing for pc gamers. Can't wait to be able to go into one of them stores and be able to look at a G-Sync monitor, will make me want to upgrade as at the moment I am on the fence about what to buy.

I saw this yesterday on Facebook and was full of skepticism however after some thought I think it's a very good and interesting venture for the PC demographic as a whole. I'd echo other people's posts about us being forgotten on the high street but this could really open up the scene to to those who are sticking to consoles purely because they are worried or uneducated about pc gaming as seeing it in their favourite retailers will undoubtedly convert even a few people from consoles as their main platform.
