PC v Mac adverts

The adverts just sum up Mac users*. A pretentious load of idiots who think that by buying the same product in white and at twice the price makes them somehow 'better' than everyone else. Don't even get me on those ******* iPod adverts with the dancing loons. Wow how I wish I could be them.

*I am aware there are legitimate uses for a Mac, shame that the PR bods at Apple and the mindless drones you see on pilgrimages to Apple's Regent Street Church give you all a bad name

Apple computers is dead. They lost. Now Apple is a music company.

I hear no music produced by Apple Inc. nor any music sung or written by them. What I do see, is a Music store.

Macs look nice with a few nice features but otherwise poo...

the adverts annoy me but the old ones (without peep show guys) amused me as the pc bloke reminded me of a lecturer i had :p

This smiley just sums up my view of your ill-informed stereotypes:

Edit: I'm all about opinions, as long as I share them ;)

I shall tell my iMac that and that it shouldn't expect to get the Leopard upgrade I had promised because it has been so good.

I hope to be as bigger loser as Apple in my business.

Thats sweeping enough to sweep up all the sweeping statements on here.

Dont know if this has been covered before, but I find them really annoying as they are so Mac fan boy and false!

I think it's interesting that they got Mitchell & Webb to be PC and Mac. Here's the blurb from Mitchell & Webb's Peep Show sitcom...

Meet Mark and Jeremy. Mark's the sensible one, a working professional with a slightly disconcerting interest in WWII. Jeremy is a lazy waster with half-arsed dreams of becoming a musician but can never get his act together.

So, they're basically saying that PC and Macs are both flawed, but in different ways. ;)

A couple of the claims are demonstrably false like the whole no viruses thing (although the viruses so far are more proof of concept and poor at replicating than a serious threat to most I must admit) but my main gripe with them would be the smug appearance they give, I know a few Mac users and not all are smug ***** but you couldn't tell that by looking at the adverts. Aside from my general and irrational dislike of Apple those adverts and the poncey way they go about things would be my main reason for not getting one. ;)

Another annoying thing about them...

Lets visit the Apple website... WTF! Why do I need to download this damn ad every damn time! :o

The only apple product I'd ever buy would be a Macbook Pro.

And then I'd install windows on it.

Why, if you don't want to use Mac OS X then just buy a generic Windows laptop, you will get better performing hardware for less money.
