Pentagon releases UFO footage

For sure. I've seen it with my own eyes. They keep repeating it on Film4.

When I look at creatures under the sea that's what I expect.
There's got to be something else out there except us, it would just be a waste if there wasn't but I doubt intelligent, that's a whole different ball game.

Maybe, but reported as and witnessed as leaves much open to questions. IMHO these videos are just as they seem. A bird flying into sore. A cormorant seems the most likely. Fast flying and looks similar in shape and movement. Could also be an alien.
The other video could just be a misidentification of a balloon.

@Pottsey is confused.

Video 2 is probably a balloon or a bird, and was confirmed to be moving at around 40mph, due to parallax effect, as the jet was moving very fast.

The thing about the 80k feet, down to 20k feet, which hovered - was from a different pilot flying a different plane, and there's never been any evidence for that (video, picture, telemetry) just the pilots statement.
The media did a really good job of conflating the two things together.
Different links and different sites are putting those videos in different orders. For some reason the BBC decided to swap the video order all around from what I had seen before.

To be clear I am talking about the FLIR video. The one where the object what ever it is, is actively jamming the range sensors on the fighter jet so its clearly not a bird or balloon. Yes the 80k feet, down to 20k feet, is from a different pilot flying a different plane as there was at least 4 planes involved. Commander David Fravor and Aex Dietrich are two of the people involved while Commander Chad Underwood was the one who did the filming. Along with Senior Chief Kavin Day, Patrick Hugues Pettty Officer (Technician), Petty Officer Gary Voorhis who confirmed the event from the sensor rooms of the navy ships involved. All are from the same days ongoing event.

As for GoFAst how many times do we have to go over this. The GoFast math was incorrect and was not confirmed at 40mph. The person doing the math made basic mistakes which made the math give out the wrong MPH result. Anyway I am not talking about that video. I am talking about the FLIR video.

I'm just talking about the videos. No one knows what they are. They are and remain unidentified. Maybe they're a slow moving balloon and its a fast moving camera and background etc. Maybe it's some new tech. Maybe it's not.

I'm not all that interested in what people claim to see, only facts.
So you haven't debunked them. You just don't like them.

Well the facts are you can see the object what ever it is actively jamming the fighter jets range sensors in that video so its not a low moving balloon or bird. Not only did the pilots report this but you can see it in the video.

So basically your dismissing all the first hand reports from the people directly involved. Including the people who worked directly on the navy ships radar/sensor platforms. Dismissing everything Senior Chief Kavin Day, Patrick Hugues Petty Officer (Technician), Petty Officer Gary Voorhis, Senior Chief Kavin Day, Commander David Fravor, Aex Dietrich and Commander Chad Underwood are saying.

Yeah. People can be mistaken.

No, I'm disagreeing with the claim 'this is some new tech'.

That's not a fact it's a claim. How do range sensors work? Do they work 100% of the time?

The videos exist separately to the claims about them.

So, a way to phrase this as evidence would be to say, "here's a video, it's being claimed this is new tech blocking range sensors, what do you think?" Not "Here's a video showing sensors being blocked, this is fact".

How do you know how jet fighter range sensors work? You don't but you are going with what you have read and have chosen to believe that as fact.

Who's making these claims? Do they know how range sensors work? Are they aware the system sometimes doesn't always give a good reading or does it work 100% of the time? Are there other videos of the same range sensor in videos showing this behaviour?

This thread is more a case of who do you believe. Who do you have the most faith in.

I absolutely believe in Aliens, there's got to be other life out there, just don't believe it is intelligent enough to travel 1000s of light years.
I wouldn't put it past other life having the technology to travel vast distances but, given the state of humans at the moment...

“Do they work 100% of the time? “
Apart from when being targeted by ECM they pretty much work 100% of the time. The message that popped up on screen is the same message you get when a target activates ECM and jams the sensors. Not only was the range sensor down as seen in the video. The pilot said that’s technically that’s an act of war using ECM against a Fighterjet and that his radar went down as well as well as weapon systems got blocked from getting a lock. He said once he locked onto the target that’s when the object responded with ECM. Which the video seems to be confirm as it shows the ranger being blocked.

“You don't but you are going with what you have read and have chosen to believe that as fact.”
I am going with what the military experts who directly used the equipment and first hand witness’s said.

“Yeah. People can be mistaken.”
It’s possible but extremely unlikely in this case. Too many people are involved from too many different platforms. You seem to be looking at the video in isolation and not taking into account all the first-hand witnesses confirming the event.
To many people are all reporting the same thing. In the FLIR event we have the Nimitz Carrier Strike Group made up of an Aircraft Carrier and 6 Navy Destroyers. Not only are the other ships like the USS Princeton backing up the event saying they also tracked unusual aircraft on their sensor platforms. We have at least 6 different fighter jets in the air each with 2 people onboard and we have technicians working directly on the navy ships sensor equipment confirmed what they witnessed.

Apart from when being targeted by ECM they pretty much work 100% of the time.
Do you know what the sensor was on this plane? I know we're probably not going to find out too much about this stuff as it's probably classified tech.

I've just some google and got this result back:

"it’s easily blocked or deflected by weather, clouds, mist, rain, etc. Basically, if it isn’t nice clear day, it won’t work well or at all."

It seems there are 2 types of these senors, active and passive. Active is when you might send out a laser to get some reading on an object, but then you give your position away. So for that reason passive systems are used, passively detecting heat/IR/EM from an object.

I see nothing in those videos to convince me of anything other than what I’m looking at. A ballon, a bird and after looking again, an out of focus plane.

Why? I can see it’s a ballon. I can see wings flapping. I can see aviation lights. Pilot says look at that thing fly. If the bird could jam radar, why did it allow itself to be targeted.

IMO the images in these clips appear to be nothing other than what they seem.

Of course, could always be aliens pretending to be those things. Could also be angels.

The videos don't show much themselves. The video is there to backup the events reported by everyone involved. The video is supplementary evidence to go alongside the testimony from Senior Chief Kavin Day, Patrick Hugues Petty Officer (Technician), Petty Officer Gary Voorhis, Senior Chief Kavin Day, Commander David Fravor, Aex Dietrich and Commander Chad Underwood along with the others. It feels like a lot of people are looking at the video standalone and ignoring the first hand witnesses.

It feels like the Commander reports he locked onto a target and the response from the target was to use ECM blocking his radar and range finder. A video is then leaked out showing this with the range finding having the same message as when blocked by ECM. Then a bunch of people in this forum are going its just a bird, balloon.

Like I said many times I am happy for things to be debunked and explained away. I have even done it myself. But it has to make sense. In this case a bird or balloon doesn't remotely make sense.

Are you telling me a top of the line Carrier Navy ship backed up by a Destroyer; being at the time equipped with the worlds best sensor equipment, backed up by 6 fighter jets in the air cannot tell what a balloon or bird is in good weather out in the open ocean?

If those objects are birds or balloons, how do you explain the ECM jammer and how you explain the reports from the people on navy ships and other fighter pilots and weapon officers which confirm the event?

We only know its reliable and built for battlefield conditions.

As far as I recall there was no bad weather, no rain, mist or anything else that day to interfere with passive sensors.
Anyway, the pilot said he used active sensors. He actively locked onto the target. A bird or balloon wouldn’t have responded to an active lock. The pilot reported that on active lock the object responded and then he lost the range finder, his weapon system was crippled and he had vertical lines that show up radar the same as one gets when being actively jammed. The video backs up the pilots statements and we have no reason to doubt the pilots or weapon crew.

Im telling you the videos undermine the statements. They seems at odds with each other.

I don’t think the bird did any radar blocking on or off video, because it’s just a bird and clearly able to be tracked. This would reasonably imply something other than what is in the video must have been blocking the radar as it definitely wasn’t the bird, if at all anything was blocking radar. It also brings into question if someone confused the two occurrences of non functional radar and bird flying around the same time. Again questioning the credibility of said statement.

Was it the bird or ballon that supposedly blocked the radar?

Are we talking about the same video as there is nothing in the FLIR video to indicate its a bird and you can see the range finder being jammed in the video.

"Was it the bird or ballon that supposedly blocked the radar?"
That's what I am arguing against its not a bird or balloon because neither are able to use ECM and neither would respond when you put an active target lock on them. The pilot reported ECM being used on him and the response was right after the weapons officer put on an active target lock. The video shows the range finder with the same message as when ECM is active backing up what the pilot and weapons officer are reporting.

To quote my last post. I am pretty sure a top of the line Carrier Navy ship backed up by a Destroyer; being at the time equipped with the worlds best sensor equipment, backed up by 6 fighter jets in the air can tell what a balloon or bird is in good weather out in the open ocean. It wasnt just 6 fighter jets, the object was on the radar systems of the USS Nimitz and USS Princeton.

Ok, so let’s assume something was blocking the radar of a Carrier, then all we can deduce is it definitely wasn’t anything in any of the videos or statements. So this topic is a big nothing burger. The reason is because whatever was blocking the radar would be generating power somewhere in the multiple megawatt range.

What is much more likely is the radar just couldn’t image the object for some reason.

If it was a Stealth Craft either manned or unmanned of some sort that activated ECM wouldn’t that cause problems for navy ships radar and fighter jets?
I don’t see how you can deduce it’s a bird when there is zero evidence for that. All the evidence points towards the object being technology based. The reports are the object responded when a target lock was placed on it. Birds don’t do that. Manned or unmanned craft do respond like that.

What is more likely is the people saying it’s a bird or balloon are 100% wrong. I don’t buy it that 5 Navy destroyers, 1 Carrier and 6 fighter jets cannot tell what a bird is and all lost radar contact with a bird. Or that for some unknown reason at the point when they switched from passive to active lock an ECM appeared to kick in. Not only is a bird not a realistic explanation but a bird doesn't match the first hand witnesses testimonies.

Ok, so a stealth aircraft that can fly at 80,000 feet, skim water at a couple of metres and submerge, oh and is 12 feet long?

Do you know how much energy it takes to climb to 80,000 feet and maintain that altitude?

The radar wasn’t getting blocked by anything in the video or statements. If something was blocking a fleet of ships and planes it wasn’t any type of aircraft or sub surface vessel.

The video is almost certainly a bird. Likely a cormorant. You can see it’s wings beating. The other very likely a balloon and one that’s out of focus a plane. You see the aviation lights. Could be aliens pretending to be those things, of course.

I have no idea what video you are watching. There are no birds wings beating in the FLIR video and there are no aviation lights and the crew made very clear statements that goes against your bird idea. As far as I am concerned calling it a bird is as crazy as calling it an Alien. Neither are likely at all. Its far more likely to be some sort of plane or drone that is using some form of ECM to confuse the sensors and cause a miss reading on radar.

Nothing in the video’s or what’s described in the statements are blocking these radars. What’s shown in the videos contradicts the statements so has to be aliens. If only we had any evidence at all to support the statements. Sadly we don’t. Just videos of what is most likely a ballon, bird and plane acting as expected.

I absolutely believe in Aliens, there's got to be other life out there, just don't believe it is intelligent enough to travel 1000s of light years.

Belief is belief, e.g. "I absolutely believe in gods, something had to have created life, just don't believe they micromanage everything (or don't believe they get involved in it any more)". Which is what some people believe.

There are UAPs recorded in history. Some people at the time interpreted them as signs from the gods. Or angels. Now it's aliens.

I don't know and I'm OK with acknowledging that. Maybe there's life elsewhere. Maybe not. Maybe there are people elsewhere. Maybe not. Maybe there are people with intelligence and/or technology far above ours. Maybe not. Maybe some of them come here and for some unknown reason don't reveal themselves but also don't conceal themselves completely successfully. Given the immense disparity in tech that would have to exist if they have interstellar spaceships, they should be able to conceal themselves. Maybe what we see is bored adolescents messing with the primitives (i.e. us) for lols. Maybe it's a psychological experiment to gauge how we'd respond if they did reveal themselves. Maybe it's nothing to do with aliens. I don't know and I'm OK with acknowledging that. So I don't need belief.
