Pentagon releases UFO footage

So here we have another corroborated account of the events that took place during Commander Fravors alleged UFO sighting.

https://nymag.com/intelligencer/201...o-q-and-a-with-navy-pilot-chad-underwood.html

There's no actual evidence there though is there?

I mean my position is really quite simple;

Make claims about weird objects breaking the laws of physics - please provide evidence of claims, which is exactly how it should be.

Awful lot of maybe's there. For something that's flying far above missile speeds i would think that they would need to be informed, for all they know it was some new type of weapon about to hit the country.

Awful lot of maybe's?

On one side, we have objects moving at 32000mph, objects which disappear, which apparently defy all the known laws, with words such as 'alien' and 'anti-gravity' being thrown around...

The moment I point out, that this is probably someone telling lies, or somebody who's made a massive mistake, people seem to find it utterly inconceivable?

:D

thought these videos were debunked awhile back, I remember watching a video about it that explained the objects aren't actually as moving as fast as they seem.

something to do with the height and position of the camera, the fact that its moving at hundrends of miles an hour and pointing in a specific direction which likely isnt the direction of travel gives a distorted impression.

they also explained how afterburners on a plane can look exactly the same as these "ufos" on the imaging system they are using

Yeah I think that was the video of the targeting pod under the wing, it tracks the target right until it reaches the limit of it's mechanism, then it just stops tracking - at the point, it can look like something flew off the screen at 8000mph, when in actual fact it just reached the limit of it's gimble.

And on the one side we have videos showing a lot of this stuff and so far the only "debunking" i'm aware of has been done by a former Game Developer, obviously an expert on the subject.

Show me the video where anything I referred to above is happening. (specifically, objects which are doing what David Fravor says he saw; objects breaking the laws of physics, objects moving at 32000mph, an object hovering above the ocean, before flying off so fast - it disappears) ?

Because I haven't seen those videos.

I've seen the videos of the objects, taken by other pilots - which appear to show something being tracked - but absolutely nothing really that strange, other than that they weren't specifically identified.

I'm referring to the videos that have been posted already.

The videos posted already, don't back up anything David Fravor says - they're videos taken by other pilots, which show nothing really incredible happening at all.

That's one of the problems, some of the video footage is being connected to the wrong incidents, there was incidents involving the roosevelt carrier about 5 or so years ago but some of the footage seems to be from much earlier.

Which is what I've been saying all along - there's no actual evidence anywhere, which backs up any of the significant claims being made. Sure there are videos of an 'object' or 'something' on a screen, but it doesn't look like anything specific at all, doing anything really remarkable, which is the way these things always tend to go.

Except the speed of the object that descended at 32000mph was calculated from its radar signature and identified visually when it came to an immediate stop. It then hovered above the ocean for a while before submerging.

That’s absolutely fine you can take what ever position you want on the matter. Like I’ve said all along I find this fascinating I believe that what Fravor and all the others are saying is the truth. If you want to dispute that then up to you.

I wanted to avoid the whole alien thing for a good reason because people just go bat crazy on it. We have what we have, he saw what he saw and you can choose to accept it or not. It really doesn’t bother me. I’m glad there is a separate thread if your main interest is to debunk then go over there, I’m interested in discussing with people who have a genuine interest, not those that will do all kinds of mental gymnastics just to “prove” it’s what they think it’s not. Sorry if that’s not acceptable for you.

Asking for basic evidence of fantastic claims, isn't really performing mental gymnastics is it? :D

No it's not. But I've long believed that the only people that need to know about these things are the ones that do know. Absolute proof for the skeptic or maybe even for the rest of the public is never going to happen .

Out of curiosity, who would that be? as in - what sort of person would have that information, and be able to keep it a secret in today's world, furthermore why would they keep it secret?

Is this the same tic-tac object that Fravor claimed to have seen just above the sea surface?

Here's a Google Earth link to the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, from an altitude of ~6,000 m (20,000 ft) centred on the F-16 that is parked on the carrier: https://earth.google.com/web/@40.76428944,-73.99961205,14.08328202a,6069.79459217d,35y,0h,0t,0r
The F-16 is 49 ft long and has a wingspan of 32 ft, so bigger than this UFO.
Can you see the F-16? It's sat at the nose of the Blackbird you might just be able to make out.

Yet Fravor claims to have visually indentified an object slightly smaller than the plane you cannot see in the image I linked to.

Seems legit.

I believe there were a number of objects. At one point there was reference to a fleet.

There are all sorts of ramifications to having unidentified objects flying around all over the pride of the American or any fleet-particularly when they demonstrate capabilities far exceeding conventional means. It's going back a bit but the only reason the Americans became aware of these objects was due to the installation of new radar equipment etc. Apparently these objects had been monitoring the best the Americans had for up to fifteen years without them knowing anything about it-by all accounts.

I'm no expert on this. Just somebody who followed it at the time. Over a period of that time I lost interest because at the end of the day I came to the decision it didn't matter and I didn't care.

Pretty much exactly how I feel. Again I find it extremely interesting and would argue that it is potentially very important, but it does pose more questions than it answers. Like you though I don’t really care about proving the seemingly unprovable to those that find it simply unbelievable.

Maybe they should be asking these questions to the Pentagon or possibly those that said they saw what they saw. I’m not sure if we are capable of answering some of these questions.
