Personal Reg Plates

Personal plates can really change the look of a car, if done rightly.

Don't have a better pic to hand of my old M3

This is what it looked like on my old Evo, it was okay in a kind of ironic fashion.

my dad tried to buy that from the DVLA, hoping no one noticed it and he could get it for about 3k...it went for about 60 :o

oof nice evo :) can i ask what you drive now if that was your old car? *hopes it is as his sig suggests and is an aston martin*

Tom.

I've seen the numberplate W11 YME (with a conveniently placed screw and spacing) before - made me chuckle :)

I'm considering getting a cheap dateless Irish style plate, something that I can put on any car, no matter it's age.

I've seen T1MMY on the DVLA website, just £90,000 short myself of buying it /crys

Some of the £250 ones are good though, am tempted to get one and keep it from car to car.

P.S yes my name is Tim

Lol, Im not quite there yet. I replaced the Evo with a Saab, not very exciting but soon I hope to compliment it with a superbike of some sort.

Not sure what I will do with the plate though if I get rid of the swedish tank. Rotty, you fancy making me an offer? Anything around the 15K mark should do :D

I think the standard plate on my parents Clio isnt that bad for a private reg tbh. MA04 ATY. Pretty cool I think. When we went to pick it up when it was brand new, it was quite a suprise.

Just take out the 04. Only if my dad was called Matt, nicknamed Matty or something along those lines. Shame that hes called Graham, hehe. Wanted a CLio with GJ at the start of the reg, but we didnt know where the area is to get one from and also he would probably be a long drive from here. Be a pain for services and stuff. So he went to Renualt Manchester instead.

Its kinda cool, you might not think so lol.

Standard M3 coupe , has a few options

SMG
19 inch wheels
Titanium dash trim
centre arm rest
Harmon Kardon
CD autochanger
AC schnitzer handbrake and pedals
Privacy glass

re the CS nope I can't see a huge point in it either

My mother has just bought KC05 RAV for her new Rav4. It's actually a 50th birthday present for her partner (his initials are KC) as she had no idea what to buy him.

Someone has M3 BMW on his CSL:)

That used to be on Mill BMWs demonstrator years ago (in Sunderland)

SMG? Surprised you went for that over the manual. Saying that, all the issues with the original SMG I and early SMG II put me and a lot of other people off.

Im sure the system is good when it works as intended, but I doubt I will ever risk trying it again.

I think the only issues with the early ones were reliability m I don;t think anyone has ever doubted the operation

the reliabilty issues were fixed when the E46 came out , apart from a few software upgrades afaik it has proved reliable
