PES 2009

Is online down ? I am stuck on testing network environment wasn't a problem yesterday am in dmz and have 5739 forwarded.
 
Hearing all the complaints about PES is a shame however it is still far better than FIFA by quite a bit on PC. Fifa this year on PC is abysmal...

Sounds like the other way round on the consoles, Fifa 09 better than PES. (looking at reviews / general concencuss {cant spell that work at all...})
 
I ended up buying PES2009 :)

Got it last night and it seems really good so far. It seems good once you get into it and learn the controls.
I find PES's playstyle to be better than fifa which is what really decided buying it for me.

I've not played online yet tho so not sure about lag etc. I just created a konami account tho so hopefully will be online later :D
 
anyone else hitting the bar and post a lot since the patch? Last match i played it happened 6 or 7 times..

anyway, enjoying this a lot more since the early superpatch is out.

  • Fixed all the names
  • Updated rosters and transfers
  • Created many missing players
  • Added all the kits for Premier League
  • Added all the kits for Liga Espanola (a few by the internal editor)
  • Updated the kits for teams without sponsors (like Bologna, Torino and many more..)
  • Added Bayern Munich and Werder Bremen
  • Fully updated badges for League and teams

Cool :) just put on the superpatch.

I tried a different one last night but it didn't work :( but this one seems to work ok. No more random looking team names :D or kits

Thanks for the link but I think that servers getting owned at the moment.

I am a little disappointed after buying this, wish I had put the money towards Fallout 3, Dead Space or Far Cry 2.

The gameplay is OK I suppose but I much prefer the gameplay on PES 6.

Also, the removal of Manual goal keepers this year is a stupid omission in my opinion.

Also, online play is a joke. I never played 2008 but surely the online could not have been worse than this, could it?

Does anyone at the PES studios know how to program for online play?

It all went wrong when the switched to the "360" game engine, the PC PES6 one had good online play and had a better game model in my opinion.

I will likely be selling on PES this year ;(
 
Tried that superpatch and couldn't get the kits to load via kitserver. Instead of being individual folders and jpg files they are now actual bin files that are usually imported into the .img files. Ran the exe like usual (been using it since PES6 i think) and it says the directory is all setup correctly. Do I need copy over the edit file as well for them to work?

I really want a patch that has all the kits done and for the league section may be the bundesliga. Better yet a whole league of classic teams! Classic Real Madrid etc - I loved those classic patches.

did you put 0.51 in the same dir as 0.5?
 
Sorry, what does this 0.51 patch actually do? I've downloaded the patch directly through evo-web and then off gaming access I think
 
Ive got a bit of a problem with my wireless 360 pad the game just doesn't pick it up, ive checked in windows and its not being picked up by windows either in the control panel, but it works fine with fifa 09 :confused: any ideas?
