after a days worth of play, i'm happy with it, its the best footy game on the pc imo. Its far from perfect but what football game is. I think its better then fifa 09 on the pc and cheaper also. Plus its not made by ea which is a bonus. Its also a lot cheaper then the console version of the game so i don't think its a bad deal.

Plus if this reported patch is to be true it might make things even better.

My friend said the console version of fifa is over rated but most people who have it seem it rave over it. I guess it just comes down to what you prefare at the end of the day a bit like the quake vs unreal debate. But at least ea seem to be taking the right steps on fifa 09 on the pc it was the first fifa a game in awhile i thought of buying but i prefaired pro evo this year.

I really hope ea listen this time and give us a fifa game next year as good as the console version.

i'm not liking the use of the right stick when using a xbox pad on the pc, i used to like doing that gay twirl and the flick ups and then a volly

Well, I had to start again after the save game wouldn't load.

It's happening again at week 11, just like the last game.It's constantly crahsing after it's loaded ....

ARGHHHHHHHHHHH

All that time wasted again .... :mad:

I dont know, my pc one hasnt arrived yet, in the 360 demo controls though, it says that you twirl with left stick and it worked. Still seems a bit queer though.

All the left stick essentially does on the PC version is just moves him left then to right in a wierd motion - no skills.

So what do the sticks do now?

EDIT: Just had a scan back through the thread, from the looks of things the left stick is still movement and the right stick is for manual passing? Suits me, I use the manual pass a lot and clicking the stick for it always bugged me!

Just had 1 game with a friend online, it was absolutely freaking terrible. I passed it back to my keeper ready to clear it......... he slides on the floor and completely misses it......... im sending this heap of junk back for a refund.

You do realise you could switch off having to click the stick in the controller setup menu ever since they introduced manual pass?

so far im really not impressed. Legends mode is poorly implemented imo, You should get to distribute your skills before you start, im playing with the worst training team ever, barely getting the ball, and as a WF im hideously slow and poor at dribbling and cant skin ANYONE. Yes I know iv got to grow my player etc, but jesus, what fun is it starting out as someone whos never kicked a ball before? Surely if you're making a 17yr hes going to know all the basics, and if hes going to be a fast WF surely hes going to be fast at that age..

and whats with the AI, the fullbacks are even more reluctant to overlap now more than ever, and this is on the bloody halfway line.

Are you at week 11 yet, it's crashing for me when I get there ?

I wen't an AM,and most of the time i'm playing CM or L/R M ... it's bad enough being played out of position, but to have a bunch of morons who have the brain of a turd who are so reluctant to pass the ball to you when you are in good positions is taking the biscuit. This is playing on 'top player' difficulty. Even pressing the rt button to call for the ball doesn't help much.

Another shocking version to add to the collection, well done Konami.

My patience is running thin with PES '08 beta 2.

Time to send it back me thinks ...

mixed results then so far guys, i'm enjoying it so far but the right stick thing bugs me and i can't do any fancy tricks as yet...
