petrol prices

National average is fake, i saw probably one garage below £1.10 (asda), so the average can't have been below that.
 Yeah, I'm sure the dozen garages you've seen enable you to calculate a more accurate national average than The AA/Experian Catalist.

Diesel has gone up 1p a day at the nearest BP garage this week. Currently 123.9/L :(

Pretty much everywhere here is 109.9p for petrol - seems that the garages dont want to break the 110p barrier at the moment, but once they do I'd bet it will leap towards 119p pretty quickly.

£1.12 this morning at my local shell garage.

I see oil was trading at close to $127 yesterday.

Overnight a local petrol station's unleaded price has shot up from 110.9 to 115.9 - very odd. Still, Sainsbury's 3 miles down the road is still at 110.9.

Anybody contemplated buying an electric car? Not one of those noddy type electric cars you see, but something with a bit more class like the Tesla Roadster.

I think now with the cost of fuel sky-rocketing and tax subsidies for environmentally friendly cars, there's real savings to be had.

Paid £1.29 for diesel yesterday already used half a tank :D

If this carries on I can see electric cars becoming very popular. Most family could have one electric for 1 to commute. And a petrol for the other person and for family trips/long-distance.

If it wasn't for tax and insurance It would be great to have a 2nd vehicle just for commuting.
