Reginald D Hunter has apparently caused a **** storm at the awards by using the N word a number of times. Not only is that in his usual routine but a number of high profile black footballers (including anti-racism hero Jason Roberts) have been quoted as saying it was amusing and The FA have previously said no context can justify the use of that word :o

I'm surprised The FA didn't try and resurrect Jimmy Saville to present the YPotY award :o

Wait...so a player joins a new club, scores screamer after screamer, wins the title at a canter and likely the golden boot yet doesn't win player of the year?

Bale woke up after a few months, took a few tumbles and scored a few goals....and wins both! !?

The real stinker to be honest was the championships choice ..Zaha....lol wut?

Yes, the same ones that when they retire and become pundits, we all absolutely slaughter and call retarded.

:D

Weird isn't it.

For consistency, I think the right person won it.

Suarez ended his own hopes.
RVP blew hot then cold now hot again.

Do not think you should be able to win both award though.

Bale was cold for half the season and resorted to diving as well whilst RVP has been the most consistant player in the EPL.

The poll even shows that people think Bale should have won it (if you remove Suarez). So it's not just Spurs fans who are pleased.

And afterall, the players who play against him have voted him the best player in the league. But obviously, they should have come to the OcUK armchair mafia first.

I don't think anyone particularly deserved it, there were a number of players who had great seasons and any one of them could have been worthy winners. It's the stupid YPOTY farce that I'm annoyed about, either scrap the award or do it properly.

The other 1 man team fans (ManU) are just butthurt as usual when things don't go their way.

The players who actually play against Bale/RVP have voted Bale to be the better player, end of.
