Goal against Villa last week to start with - I honestly think the only other player in the world who could have hit it out the air like that is Ronaldo.

All Bale has done there is run fast in a straight line, and hits a decent finish. Only one player even tries to tackle him.
 
Such a close call between the 3 don't see the point of arguing either way or the bitterness because your player didn't win it but have won the league. Don't know why people even care that much.

I'd possibly say Bale edges it over RVP because he plays in a worse side and possibly get's few games and chances in a match. I don't think anyone has been that stand out this year. A whole season of average teams, players and competitions.

i'm not denying RVP has scored some sweet goals but he's a striker! bales been a lb, winger and now a forward. his progress is astonishing.

the RVP volley was a bit of a shinner and wasn't he offside or not?

Nah, not offside, Vlaar played him on.

It looks like a shinner, as he's had to push upwards through the ball. It starts at his ankle and leaves his foot off the toe.

Don't get me wrong, Bale's scored some excellent goals, and I have no problem with him being POTY - but for me, that goal against Norwich isn't his best, let alone the best goal in the league this season.

Bloodzeed, that Bale goal isn't better. He's stood still, and the ball is coming across him. That's infinitely easier to hit than one coming from 40 yards directly behind you, and hitting it while still on the run. Again, the Bale one is an exceptional goal, but it's not better than the Van Persie one.

(Incidentally, I'm a Liverpool fan - not biased - and again, I have no issues with Bale winning the award!)

Pele once said Diouf was one of the top 100 players in the world, should we shut up and listen to him as well?
