PFA Player of the Year Nomination's

I for one would never argue with the players choice as that is the best (and most respected) reflection of a players season so I can't see why it's even being debated. The football writers & fans awards are a different matter:)

Although i agree that a player will value being voted player of the year by his fellow players, i don't however agree that there opinion is any more valid than a writer or football fan. I mean you just have to listen to ex-players like Ray Houghton and Nigel Spackman to see that.
 
Didn't you say before that you'd heard 'people in the game' rating Gerrard above Lampard and used that as an argument as to why he was better?:)

Yes because your argument for Lampard being better was, "people in the game" voted for him (fifa vote iirc)

Didn't you say that you'd heard lots of pundits rating Gerrard above Lampard?:)
 
But now you're saying that their opinion is just as valid as players & fans, yet you gave my opinion no validity at all:)

Firstly as i just said, the only reason i mentioned the "people in the game" was in reply to you saying there opinion counted for more (basically saying if they know it all then.....Mr X rates Gerrard over Lampard). I didnt say every individual's opinion is equally valid but just because someone is a player it doesn't automatically make there opinion more valid. Finally i never said your opinion had no validity (which i stated in a later thread) but i just didnt agree with it.

Hi seemed to miss that bit, too many people around me talking about the match and werent listening to the interview! Anyone know if it will be shown again or know exactly what he said? Henry is a true pro :)

He said that Gerrard deserved it etc, especially after the events of the CL final. He also said that he is inspired by him. Really nice comments from Henry :)

Thanks for that - really nice of Henry, true legend :) . Really hope the gooners win it, would be great to have two consecutive cups in England; liverpool kept the old one and now Arsenal could be the first to have their name on this one :)
