Guys on the top panel there are five cut-outs either side, are these cut-outs able to be illuminated from underneath? If yes would 60cm strip be long enough to cover the five slots? Thanks

Presuming you mean the air intake vents at the top?

Dropped my rad a little from my picture and added some typhoons on the roof to aid in air flow.

Dropping from my 360 rad to a 240 in this case has increased my temps by about 4 degrees in idle (30 now).

Felt a little cool air would help.

Would it not have been better with a 360 in the roof ? or even another 280.

60 seems a bit long, the case is only 50 deep and the slots take up abot 40.

Easy enough to illuminate just slid the rad tray out stick some leds in and light the darkness :)

Thanks Rustyone, I'm thinking to have them Red and Green either side to mimic the Port and Stbd navigation lights of a ship for my themed build ;) The strips I'm looking at only come as 30cm or 60cm but I guess they can be trimmed anyway.

I'm gonna use Darkside LP rads they are only 27mm I'm also on the hunt for slimline fans, anyone recommend anything other than the Parvum ones they seem to be my favourite atm.

My rads are not slim line and feel that anything other than that would just look odd at the top. If im totally honest even a slim rad plus fans would just not work for me as it would sit quite low over the motherboard, however each to their own.

Put a 360 to start with in the front however that would mean having to stick my pump up top which to me looked rubbish. So went for the pretty over function route.

I forever mess with my rigs so this will probably only be like this for a while. May look at acrylic tubing in the not too distant future.

As for LED stips for length I would say 430mm min to light up the vents (500mm would me max)

Yeah it might look odd for sure, I just need to see the case in the flesh and see how my plan will fit. I want to save as much space as possible for the res I want to have made in the drive bay area.
I'm unsure as to whether to use clear hardline or polished copper, depends on coolant cooler I guess the copper might not show off the effect I'm after.

Scythe Slip Stream 2000 RPM 120mm 12mm thick, there are a few slim fans to choose from.

Sounds like your building a Clyde Puffer, not Para Handy by any chance :)

If your talking about putting 2 hdds in front of the psu you will struggle. I managed 1 just. My hdd bay is taken up with my pump so no room there for me!

Cheers, I have 5x1tb drives in this case, need 2 6tbs should see me right for a while but i want to retain 1 for actual downloading etc keep the wear off the bigger drives.

Nice build btw, seen so many pristine builds recently I was shamed into spending a few hours redoing mine last night :D No easy task given the age of her!

Cheers matey. Always good to have a tweak with the 'ol rig now and again!

Indeed! I can already see the dust getting in though! Hoping the filters on this evolv are better than the old crap on this one :D

How are those stock fans btw? I'm guessing/hoping good quality and quiet? I'm also wondering if a 3rd can be added to the front or if there's just not room for 3x140s? I'm also wondering how many 140's an be added to the top rad tray?

I'm hoping on a red theme for my build and I'm wondering if some red vinyl dye would work on the white blades of the fans or maybe it would be enough to bounce some red LEDs off them.
