PHANTEKS EVOLV X & P600S

Was tempted by one of these but seeing weird results for gpu temps on reviews, hardwarecanucks somehow managed 90c on a ftw 1080ti?

Cable management looks a total doddle but it seems a lot of people think its more setup as a custom WC case than aio or air cooling.

The Hardwarecanucks temps are with the included fans only. I can't say for sure since i don't own it, but i imagine adding or changing fans would improve things.

Edit : ofc that also adds extra cost

Anyone know what would be causing vibration noise? When door is fully closed I get a significant humming noise. (Even worse if my open door comes in contact with my desk)

Fan noise can be transferred to the chassis or it could be spinning rust if you've got that in your case.

Rubber mounts can help eliminate both.

All my fans are bequiet silentwings which I used the rubber mounting.

Just tried disabling the hdds (don't know if that actually stops them spinning?) and still there.

May just wait until next weekend and open it up properly again

Have a couple questions:

1 How can I control the front LED strips? ... I only have RBG 4 pin connector on mobo not the 3 pin D-RGB connector.

2 Having 3x 2.5" drives mounted on the cable covers at the back has anyone found a better way of using the Sata Power connectors? ... My PSU cable has 4x right angle connectors but won't be able to close the cover so have currently got 2x Sata Power extension cables.

cheers

Case has two buttons for modes and colors settings , otherwise I don't think you can control it if your motherboard doesn't support 5v drgb. I'm in the same situation and only use one of the case modes.

I also noticed my led strips whine...they make high pitch buzzing sound sometimes. I need to disconnect front panel and this sound disappears.

Yeah that's what bothers me, given the pricing you'd think it would come with more fans out of the box than it does.

They've got no clue how to test, benchmark etc. Always, whether it's cpu, gpu, temps, mobiles. I wouldn't take their results as something worth noting. They only know how to build pc with air cooler and sometimes with aio. And by build I mean build, not run, setup system, configure build etc. Clueless with overclocking, so you don't really know what they've done.

Using nothing but the fans that came with the case and two Silent Wings on a 240mm rad up top as exhaust, CPU hits 55C top and GPU hits 70C top.

Comparing that to previous case (Bitfenix Shinobi) where I was sitting 70C CPU (admittedly that was an air cooled 2500K) and 86-90C GPU. So definitely an improvement for me, and that'll only get better when I add in some more fans and actually do some chassis fan speed control.

Edit: to clarify that's when gaming. Just thrown CPUz stress test on the CPU and it jumps up to 80C quite rapidly but happily sits there.
