Having the 40" I have to say I do prefer the aspect ratio of the 43" from those pics !

Its probably because the side by side shot, has the 40" at an angle instead of being straight on.

Same aspect ratio, same resolution, just an additional 3" diagonal so is scaled up correctly.

Looks nice however

Meh, freesync isn't needed if you have enough power to match the monitor refresh rate all the time IMO.

IMO 43" is the sweet spot for 4k PPI, any larger would look wrong on a desk. 120hz free/g-sync though, sign me up!

Me, it's great, easy for work and play, I miss the blacks of the VA panel but on the whole it's a better monitor.

I just bought this beast so I will add my opinion.

On delivery the delivery man asked for help carrying out the van so I pretty knew that it would be quite a big monitor (it's not actually that heavy though lol). The monitor is huge but testing it out with films its like having your own little cinema, pretty sweet!

Testing out with Xcom 2 it was absolutely fine but thats not the best game to test with so I tried Dark Souls 3 and that was fine too. I did notice occasionally every minute when I was in intense action a little skip on the frame rate but it was negligible to be honest.

Overall very pleased so far so would recommend to others if they are on the fence about getting this behemoth.

With the current seventy quid off until tomorrow, I bought one. Damn lack of impulse control! Will see how it is with the new Fredde desk i'm getting.
