Phrases you can't stand...

"Ya melt", "Weapon" along with all the other "new" hip phrases/insults that are getting spouted - just makes me think the user is a knuckle-dragger

The two favourite words of the advertising industry:- "Up to". As in "Up to 50% off!" where what it really means is "About 10% off in general except for one item which will sell out in 5 minutes flat".

Definitely an American phrase, but "I could care less" when they really mean that they couldn't care less.
What they're saying is exactly opposite what they mean, and it absolutely infuriates me

"ow **** the bed"

Do people actually soil their bed sheets as adult's? I mean really, the phrase is just disgusting, but seems to come up in casual conversation far too often.

"a package of measures", or anything else with the word package in. It's usually said by the media or politicians.

Touch wood.

It's the phrase. It's the act of touching the nearest wooden item as if it makes a blind bit of fudging difference to anything in your miserable life. Stop saying it!
