Physx is it used much ?

Never played GTA5 and never owned (for personal use) a console.

But on a PC, even with a 120hz monitor - 30 fps isn't a pleasant experience.

I agree playing at 120fps is stunning. But when you play other hardware and been playing Consoles for years 30fps is very playable. Is it what you want hell no but if its nothing else but a console then 30fps is perfectly fine.

You dont see people returning consoles or games saying 30fps its not playable ;)
The reason you find 30fps not playable is because you simply not used to it and have played beyond that for to long to even find it enjoyable.

But playing GTA5 is fine, loads people having fun how can this be? its terrible surly not.

edit back to PhysX please

Gaming on a console at 30 FPS is different to a PC at 30 FPS due to the consistency of frame rate?

But I find playing on a console to be dire, that's not to say I don't enjoy the game, but it really is poor.

I would call that making do rather than it being fine. You adapt lol. I had a lot of fun I GTA 5 but when I first started playing it I really had to adapt and it actually gave me eye strain initially.

Same here when i was playing PGR on the xbox 360, it took my days to adapt to 30fps.

No different
Just lock to 30fps and it will play just the same. To smooth it out vsync the locked frame rate. Some of the Biggest selling and Best games are 30fps :) Uncharted series for example

Just to chime in on the debt about 30fps being terrible. I just finished playing Sleeping dogs and I was getting average of around 40fps and minimums of 25fps, and the game was 100% playable, even felt pretty smooth to be honest.

Maybe the benchmark is more taxing than the real game.

Only difference was a Higher Frame rate you would get running Nvidia. The PhysX done on the CPU is the same thing you would get from your GPU.
Like I said performance wouldn't be 120fps but it was very playable in Batman and Metro LL.

Playing any game on PC at 30 fps would feel terrible for the eyes, That's not to say its unplayable, But then if 30 fps was acceptable then every review site is wrong and there would be no need for driver updates, new cards, and mantle would be useless if you say it's perfectly playable.

Makes me wonder why you bought xfire shankly, I would not want to see bf4 running at 30 fps, Infact any game I own tbh.

Dont console games use some kind of effect to make things seem smoother. The original Crysis had something similar as I remember everyone on here saying how smooth it felt around 30fps which would not be the case on any other fps. Console games feel smooth enough to me. I played console only before I found pc gaming which may explain it and my original pc was very low spec so started off with low fps.

Played arkham city on my mates xbox360 and it was fine. Never bothered with it on PC as its not my type of game. Its not one of those games that needs high fps to get a good experience if you ask me.

30fps gameplay or turning physX off?? Hmm, tough choice!
You have to be pretty desperate to play at that kind of framerate to have a few extra effects, and then borderline crazy to claim its smooth lol.

Because I not saying 30fps is what you would call perfect :p thats not the debate here. Would I want to run 30fps no if I had no choice sure.
Playing at 120fps is a massive difference over 30fps for-sure.

edit
Plus when I completed batman AC I didn't even own xfire think I had single 7950 and didn't even own 120hz monitor.

30fps is awful, why would you play at such a low framerate? One of the many reasons I don't like consoles, hurts my eyes playing at 30fps - to be honest, I can't really stand anything below 55fps.

I don't believe you can tell to such a degree that anything below 55FPS is an issue with out an FPS counter
