I've never ever heard an LP before and local music shops still sell LPs in the genres I listen to, is it really that much different compared to a CD ?

Nice btw!

Hell yes! Vinyl is basically listening to the band as there recording it, goes through no compression. Its sound waves cut straight into the vinyl itself.

It sounds warmer and more natural, its less harsh! Also the dynamic range of music on vinyl/analog is so much better than CD's, listen to a classical/orchestral album on vinyl and be amazed!

Analog rules!

I could go on about the differences all day :p

Studying Sound Engineering is awesome!

EDIT- Pulse-If you have a capable sound card you could probably record it 24bit, much better than 16bit but still not as good as analog.

Cool my amp have rca inputs so I'm guessing the lp player will hook up to the Phono inputs?

I'd love to record some LP songs to 24bit FLAC for playing ion PC !

Get some Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro's while your at it! :)

Get a CD and the same CD on vinyl and listen to the difference.

I prefer Open iir hehe, I will get the Sennheiser HD555 or if I can stretch to the 595 then those but for now my HD485 provides ample clarity to be able to tell the difference between 2 sets of rca cables alone so should be ok I guess :D

My landlord, and too small!

Its a pretty generic Ikea/Argos workstation thing I think. Sorry I can't be more specific!

I've just noticed you have the kb with no num pad, I'm in a tight squeeze and having the mouse on another level is discomforting for FPS's :/
