Tried my hardest to use it for about 10 days. Its just no good for what i need. I see the pull of the OS to ahem, 'simpleton' use. But multitasking is a nightmare and it is a LOT slower than Vista. Sorry it just is, firefox takes up to 5 seconds to load, let alone the horrendous port of MSN messenger. I tried Adium before you ask :p. Vista is a lot faster to use, everythings instant or thereabouts. I see the attraction to certain users, the lack of maintenance and it does 'just work', but being a Windows user for god knows how long, I automatically keep my windows 'maintained'.

Anyhoo, its an awesoe bit of kit and i will use OSX occasionally if only to conserve battery life!

To use Mac OSX for something useful just takes a slight readjustment of attitude from Windows... Firefox takes 5-10 seconds to load, yes (safari doesn't though!) but once you finish using it, you don't quit it - just shut the window. It's not that it doesn't work as well, it's that you can't use it properly ;)

Glad you like it :D

Had to alter a couple of bits slightly due to mismatch. The rails in the drawers werent set right and they clashed. So I had to drop a rail to close the drawer. Also the lower kick board under those drawers where a little high which clashed with the lower drawer. Just took a little off it :D

I was amazed at how heavy the stuff was though. I couldnt carry the box upstairs. :) Very solid stuff.

Thanks again

you're mistaken, with a tidy desk everything's put away and you need to remember where everything is. With a messy desk, things you use lots are at the top and hence easy to find

This doesn't work when u get too many stuff believe me, I lost half my media/software colletion with this, due to them lying around and being scratched every time I move anything, much better now when I store them in 1 place, ie my top drawer empty media, center drawer films&music, bottom drawer games& apps.

I like heineken, the taste, above other beers, but I haven't tried much out yet.. (@ lysander )
