Here are a couple I took whilst in Canada.

You know I actually like that crop version there :D I guess the colours were really a minor thing, at some point during sunrise/set the colours do look flat anyway so it does work either way :)

It's always tempting to go crazy with the colours and bump the saturation and vibrance. It might just be my uncalibrated monitor but they seem about right to me, not too loud.

Here is the same sunset but behind some of the church buildings which are near the side of the river. It's another HDR that I did and it seems to be popular on Flickr (more so than the other shot I uploaded at the time anyway hehe)

*edit*

Bah, just noticed the dust spot at top left that I forgot to remove lol

Hm I think shots like that work best without things in the foreground as they tend to be too much in the shadow line - A silhouette works well but depends on what it is really.

Would love to shoot that scene^ Looks amazing.

The 10-22 is such a good lens. I rate its optics higher than the 17-40L in every aspect. It's a shame that it's an EF-s lens although I would miss the weather sealing of the L.

Anyway, one from this morning!

I like that^ Although I'm not a fan of the lens flare personally, I find flares work best when shooting with the sun in front with the whole BG under bokeh.

I'm done with sunrises for the month -_-

Yeah, I'm not keen on the flare either but this lens flares at the slightest hint of light look at it so not much I can do. Maybe I'll upgrade soon :)

I'm looking forward to getting mine. Oh do I stretch the CC now... :)
