[PIC_THREAD] Landscapes, Architecture, Seascapes

Something from nothing here, I rescued this one from the bin because I love the drama of the stacs, but the original shot was very weak (snapped from a small boat in pretty big seas). Certainly won't be to everyone's taste -

Little dark perhaps or at least it is on my screen! Never the less I still quite like it :)

some mediocre ones by me
generally i dont think they are very sharp and im not that good at photoshop and only adjust contrast/levels etc
i dont know enough to use layers

the only lens i have for this is the 10-22mm

i didnt appreciate until i got home that DoF goes to infinty at even fast Fs when you are focusing even a modest distance away from you. So i probably used a far to small aperture thinking i needed the DoF and thus used a too slow shutter speed or too much iso
probably too used to Macro

brutal critique would be welcome

I quite like those, I found the easiest way to make a photo look old is to reduce saturation and contrast and introduce a vignette. Lightroom makes this very easy!

One from the weekend following a nice drive up to Kinlochleven (near Fort William)

Snip

Love the long exposure in this - really sets off the colours nicely :)

A different perspective on Castlerigg Stone Circle.

Very nice reflections

And back on topic - here's a couple I took while visiting The Falls of Dochart yesterday:
