Thanks for the critique much appreciated, just starting out and I'm finding seascapes a lot easier to get something pleasing from than inland areas. I think maybe because the sea is ever changing with the tide so it's easier to find something interesting, and the movement of the water gives the photo some interest also. Still its good just finding out what works and doesn't.
They're just my personal opinions and I'm far from an expert!
Seascapes can be bland too without the right sky and something else other than water! Looks like a nice place you went to though shots like that are why I quite fancy exploring this country a bit more hehe
That first shot of yours might have been better a bit earlier on when there was still light on stuff but who knows! A landscape shot that works in the early morning might be pants in the evening etc due to light. I can see why you tried that shot with the wall and the big rock and maybe there's a processing option that would make it viable but that drab colour in the shade + rock doesn't do much for me.
