[PIC_THREAD] People, Portraits, Street

On the bottom right there's a bit of ghosting going on, did you clone something out there? I'd use a soft feather to blend it in using the clone tool set at a low opacity :)

Well spotted, it was a coat, I will fix it later :) That's what you get for shooping late at night!

Just curious because you clip your blacks short even more than I do, and I've always found while clipped blacks work really well on the web (to an extent) they've always just looked like a dodgy print when printed in real life. Perhaps because an off-black image on the web is clearly a deliberate choice whereas in print it just looks a bit flat?

Just had an album printed with clipped black (not that much), but I really like it.

Ksanti, no I don't print my images yet, other than the odd snapshot. I intend to once we've finished decorating here but I won't be surprised if shots like this don't look as good in print as they do online.

My B&Ws are just from a preset I made when messing around with curves trying to recreate some other styles that I like.

@mrk - Cool shot, that guy has his Kurt Cobain on!

^I'm the same with BW, tweaks that turn into presets that then get updated as I learn more about curves in relation to different lighting in images.

Thanks guys. Haha, I guess it is a bit like the decisive moment but if Nike were doing it instead :D This is alongside a lake at work, where theres a bench that you can sit on right between these pillars. I just sat there with the shot framed and clicked people walked past, I saw the runner coming and managed to get one shot off. Quite pleased I managed to get the sun flaring over her shoulder too.
