Where was that taken?
I see them regularly but can't get anywhere near them :( -

Hey it's from Elmley nature reserve. The place is a bit atypical in that majority of views and sighting are from the mile or so road as you enter. You're allowed to stop and use your car as hide but not allowed to get out as it scares everything away. So the car-hide means wildlife get quite close. There's a few specific spots of the road which are great particularly for marsh harriers so drop me a trust if you want more detail.

Where was your marsh harrier shot taken?
Jealous of that very obliging kestrel :)

There's short ears owls there as well but not for long.

The Marsh Harrier was from here - www.rspb.org.uk/reserves-and-events/find-a-reserve/reserves-a-z/reserves-by-name/o/otmoor/index.aspx - where I've been going a lot recently.
It is full of stuff but as usual with RSPB places you can't always get close enough to the subjects for great shots.
That Elmley looks pretty good, it might be a bit far away for me for a daytrip but if I do go to the area I'll definitely pester you for advice :)
