Picked up a LG OLED55B6V

Hello B6 owners! Mine is due for delivery soon.

I don't actually have Sky at the moment, so will no doubt take up the "free" Sky Q offer. Anyone done so? What are the catches? I've scanned the T&C but will have a proper read later.

I took the offer and got it installed yesterday. But mine was an upgrade from sky+ hd. You'll only get the basic package and multi screen

What do you guys think of the TV with the ps4 pro? I was looking at the tomb raider demo being played on the TV today and the colors looked quite disappointing. I don't know what the source was from though as it was on a loop with other TV's. The video demo i watched did look very good though.

If he isn't a Sky customer at all (Inc broadband) then he will get a 2TB Sky Q box, Sky Q mini and basic package

The website then let's you order other packages such as Boxsets, Sports etc at half price.

Well I've just taken the plunge and ordered one for delivery on Tuesday.

For those who already have this TV what is the power connector on the back of the TV like? I'm finding varying information through online sources. I've already got an IEC connector running through the wall for powering my existing TV, will I have to remove and replace with an 'LG connector'?

Its wired into the back of the tv like on my C6 but there is a cover over it which can be unscrewed and i am presuming it can be unconnected some how:)

Thanks, I might just look at installing a power socket somewhere behind it then as I'm sure that would be the easiest option.

Edit; I'm just looking at my existing wall mount and wondering about re-using as this one is up to 60" supports 60KG and VESA 400x200. How far from the bottom of the TV are the mounting holes as others on AV Forums have had problems with finding a bracket that can't be seen?

From what I can guess looking at various photos it will be suitable - rough estimates suggest it's around 6.5cm

Apparently you can just unscrew the cover where the power cable goes in and remove it. It's on my list to look at when I get chance as all my other cables feed through wall cavity. Be nice to get the power to do the same. It's also quite a short cable.

On a side note. Is anyone else having problems with Dolby vision content on Netflix. The app updated. And since then Dolby vision content just crashes the app as soon as you try to play it.

Finally got my B6 now, it's fantastic as I'm sure you all know.

I'm using the settings from the AVForums review, they look pretty good, any others worth trying? I'm not that bothered about getting it properly calibrated.

Collected mine earlier from Richer Sounds and got it setup, just watched the 4K version of Ghostbusters (the new one ). Now going through any 4K content I can find on Amazon TV...

Does anyone know, are all the modes the same but with different settings? I really want a couple of games modes and one for films another for animation

Or is game mode the only one with reduced lag

It varies depending on what processing the TV is doing, e.g trumotion

I have my PC, Xbox One and PS4 going in to HDMI 2 via the A/V receiver and have Game Mode on all the time.

Sky Q goes directly in to HDMI 1 and then I use the optical cable from the Q box to the receiver and use AV forums settings for expert Bright and Dark room.
