Picked up a LG OLED55B6V

This isn't something you can disable sadly, I've read you can disable ASBL in the service menu but that won't solve problem.

Read petition below for more details.

Enervy saving is definitely off on mine , on the main picture menu

Smart picture mode- OFF
Energy saving - OFF
Eye comfort mode - OFF

Enervy saving is greyed out though, this is on the isf night, maybe it's to do with that ?

I just tried the settings from darkos video, almost identical to yours Moogleys, only gamut is on normal and colour at 50.

Not sure it's wise copying whit balance settings but it looks good to my eyes, and the image seems to have lost this green tinge I was getting.

Its not wise. So many different tolerances between panels and circuits even to how old it is. That includes the same model. People copying settings think it is making their sets look better when most don't know what D65 looks like. You cannot eyeball gamma either. You have to measure it.

Just re-done mine with the calibrator and a bit of tweaking. Tbh it looks fantastic now.....

Picture mode - isf bright room
OLED light 65
Contrast 85
Brightness 52
H & V sharpness 10
Colour 48
Tint 0
Gamma 2.2
Colour Gamut Wide
Colour temperature medium

I have a custom motion control for normal viewing.

Looks great now well happy.....

Did you change anything in white balance or cms, just curious as I have the same now apart form colour at 50 and gamut at normal (for sdr content)

It's back in the box now mate. I prefer the KS after spending hours comparing I think it gives a better all round experience. I will wait a couple more years and see how OLED progresses.....

Moogleys, have you replayed any of the top PS4 games on the OLED?

I played Mass Effect for a while it was very over saturated and had noticeable stutter which was not there on the KS. The HDR effect was also a bit odd like it would go bright then dim down ?

Tbh gaming is pretty much my main reason for returning it...

I currently use the C6 and play a lot of PS4 titles, are you looking for anything in particular?

Was just curious to see if he was going to sit down and replay Uncharted 4 and such titles to see what it was like on OLED. I don't mean pictures, just describing compared to the LED...

I'd love to replay Uncharted 4, Shadow of Mordor as well as seeing Shadow of War on OLED. Horizon Zero Dawn must be gorgeous on OLED. Imagine seeing all those Cauldrons again in OLED. Zeta must be drool worthy in OLED.

Seen Tron Legacy in OLED?

Shame, I personally think the B6 is a much better TV than the KS7000 in all aspects, I know it's good for gaming but I've not found it a problem, playing bf1 on ps4 perfectly fine.

I find gaming on the E6 far better than my old JS8000 which is similar to the KS7000. Odd

Maybe I have a very good KS...

Having both side by side means I have directly compared and the OLED is nice but just not for me. It's certainly not worth £600 over the cost of a KS.

Don't get me wrong it's a nice tv and in some aspects it looks stunning but apart from the blacks the KS manages everything more than fine and better in some areas.

I will get another OLED when they are over and beyond 1000 nits.

Harry Potter Part 2 Voldemort's army is another good black test scene. Think it is 45 minutes in.

It's back now...

I did look at Harry Potter it's very black it's how I noticed the detail loss in certain parts. The TV does very well when it's pure black but in my opinion it struggles in not quite fully black scenes with some detail loss.

Which is brutal for gaming. You need to see every step near black including 0.5 grey. Step 17 is just barely noticeable the way it is meant to be. Its useless if 17 - 19 is crushed. No point having jet blacks if you're missing crucial detail.
