Picky eaters

I would say i am picky, I just don't bother tasting anything new. Surely he east some fruit and veg?
I hate cheese though, so that limits me to what I can eat (No pizza).

Not picky at all, only things I don't like eating is seafood(oysters, squid ect, I like fish), if needs must I will eat it though.

EES PROPA INGURLISH EEE IS. OI OI, NAN OF THAT FOREIGN MACK FER ME, OIM ROYAL BLAD OI AM.

Is he one of these people who refuses to eat anything that might be seen as non-English purely for his British bulldog image?

hate mushrooms, brussel sprouts, spinach, butter beans, all forms of pork and lamb, cooked carrots, turnip, coffee, aubergines(spelling).asparagus, cabbage, lemon

Used to be quite fussy when I was younger but contently eat most stuff now. Once you get older you realise its pretty awkward and sometimes rude not to eat whats on offer. Then most things you try actually turn out to be very nice and you kick yourself for not having tried them sooner.
Pretty similar here - I mainly try new things because they're given to you and it'd be rude not to try. And fortunately many of them turn out to be nice!

I'll always try something once (well, nearly always - I still can't bring myself to eat snails!). You can't really say you don't like it if you don't - and many of the people who 'only eat mcdonald's' or 'don't eat foreign muck' almost certainly never try many of the things they purport to hate.

People like that really get on my nerves. Fair enough everyone has some dislikes but other's are just moaners to put it straight.

I'm not too fussy, I like trying different types of food.

I think it's slightly ridiculous that it annoys you. Surely there are more important things to worry about than other people's eating habits.

Yes I am a fussy/picky eater. Do I enjoy it? No. Is it something you can change easily? No.

I'm like you i'll eat anything, but two of my brothers and sisters are really picky, specially about fruit and veg and or "ew theres XXX in my XXXXX, even if you can barely taste it. I'll literally eat anything thats put in front of me :)

Wont touch fruit, wont touch veg, anything that isnt 'plain' is basically a no for me

I dont understand what you mean by 'plain'? Is growing on a tree, or being picked from the ground, then put on sale not 'plain' enough for you? What on earth is wrong with you? How can you possibly not like a sweet juicy apple for a snack, or strawberries and cream for dessert, etc.. god i could go on. Honestly my mind boggles at the thought of someone 'not liking' pretty much half a normal persons diet. No offence, of course.

As you can probably tell. I hate picky eaters with a passion. They're probably right up there with smokers to be honest (hmn.. nah)! I reckon there's something hugely immature about having a blanket dislike to any type of food. It's just ludicrous. Especially not liking fruit and veg. I dont mean to insult, but that just smacks of someone who's not grown up beyond seeing green food and going 'eww mummy i dont want it'. It's not like all fruit and veg tastes remotely the same, is it? So how can you possibly sit there and say you dont like any?

I'll try anything once, and i cant rememebr not liking anything i've tried, yet.

I am fairly fussy, and sometimes not, I just like basic stuff, I don't like;

Cheese (yes I know!)

BUT I'll eat pizza, just not if its plain, it HAS to have a topping of some sort. I won't eat cheese on toast or lasagne though that is nasty.

I don't like fish apart from Cod, Prawns, Tuna.

I don't like any sort of sauce like white sauce, apple sauce etc!

It's a nightmare when you go to a nice restaurant, as I always have to ask them "Can I have my chicken WITHOUT the sauce please..."

But i'll eat many other things :D

I don't think im annoying as it's not TOO fussy compared to what some people are like, I mean I eat fruit, vegetables (even sprouts lol) etc! I love spaghetti bolognaise (again no cheese though lol)

I won't eat :

Brussel Sprouts (just hate the taste so much - not sure why)
Mushrooms (the texture of them is something I just hate also)

that's it really I'll try or eat most other things

I'm not surprised. A chicken is a chicken. The sauce is probably what they slave over and what makes the meal what it is! :p

Cod and Haddock taste very similar and I doubt he could tell the difference after it had been battered and deep fried for 10 minutes lol.

I really get annoyed by fussy eaters.

It isnt hard to try something differnt. What annoys me even more is when that person has a child or whatever the child gets like it aswell.

One of my friends is like it, when we get a chinease she has boiled rice and some prawn crackers. Nothing else....
She is too affraid to eat something she might actually like!

She says it is cheap which is true, but i say it isnt good for you, physically. Chips/Pizza, no veg of fruit.

EDIT - What i wont eat..

Tuna - I cant stand the smell mainly, really puts me off. I WOULD try a tuna steak though, but a can of the stuff is really disgusting to me. Although i have to confese i havent had it in a very long time, so i would never say never.
Mushrooms - I can eat them, but just arent my favourite choice.
Chocolate Spread - Seriously, completly disgusting. Absolutly vile, errgghh.

And i wont eat chocolate/sweets/crisps anyway unless ive had a drink.

I am quite picky though less now than when I was a child, I try to keep to certain foods, though I will try new stuff given the choice at a restaurant, but I can just look at some foods and know I won't like it, and therefore won't even touch it, and the idea of eating it is revolting. If I am given something I don't like I will just skip the meal entirely, although it would be rare for there to be nothing I like as it is easy to fall back on a safe steak & chips in a restaurant.

I'll eat anything these days (though I used to be fairly fussy as a kid until I realised it really wasn't worth making a fuss about :p).

That is stupid, it is not like I would suddenly start enjoying some crap just because I thought to myself "well I can chose to like this now"
If everyone around you was eating faeces would you suddenly start stuffing your face with it as well? I don't think so.

Just a few things I don't like:
Most vegetables, they taste like ass.
Mushy peas, the thought of eating is similar to the thought of going around eating other people's snot.
Roast dinner which isn't chicken, I saw the leg of a lamb cooking once, it smelled like someone had died and looked like someone had decomposed.
Any fat on meat (though I will cut the fat off and eat the meat), how do people do it, you are *eating* *fat*
Tuna, it smells *so* bad.
Shepherds pie, do I really need to give an explanation why this is disgusting?
Sloppy joe's, finger food should *NEVER* be "sloppy"
For that matter, anything where bread/carbs are mixed with "wet" stuff.
Or foods which has too much "water", like gravy.
Food with hp/brown type sauce on them.
Bacon, it tastes like your eating a heart attack.
Pork, it also tastes like an early death.
Any fish which tastes "funny" and by that I mean any fish which has a strong taste.

Strangely most things I dislike are so called more traditional foods, and I have no problem eating strange Chinese/Indian etc food.

I used to dislike Chinese in my teens - because I'd never tried it. Now I'll eat whatever's going. I still have a problem though - I have absolutely no idea what I'm eating, and would still not know what to order. Just have to let someone else do it and eat whatever comes!
