car craft is great for one thing 1) walking around and getting to sit in lots of different cars all under one roof.

As soon as i stepped inside the jag i knew it wasnt for me. Just didnt like it at all. Same with the honda accord as well. I thought they looked quite nice inside till i went on the internet. Too much cream and too much fake wood argh !!

but carcraft is handy in that you can swap from car to car and decide what your actually interested in test driving.

Bonus points if you string the salesman along pretending to be interested then walk out :D

I have a vision of you at the last moment looking at the salesman, sneezing in their face and running out LOLling :D

If I win the Euromillions tonight I may bail this poor guy out...

... or maybe not, stupid decision and age really is no excuse :(

PS

go to the car people if you must use a "supermarket". Prices are reasonable, finance is decent and the salesmen are not payed on commision. My missus bought a A-class from them at private money on a bank interest rate.

In this particular instance the OP has been financially ripped off, screwed over, call it what you will but he seems quite happy with the deal and it should allow him to built up some form of good credit history. My point was surely thats a good thing?

it is exactly this attitude that has landed this generation in the crippling debt its in.

taking out finance that means your straight into negative equity from the moment you start paying off the finance agreement is good for nobody

This make me buying my 2 1/2 year old 1.6 Civic Sport 2 years ago on finance for too much look much better now :D But I only paid £350 insurance ;)

Lesson learnt I hope James!

As long as you're "happy" thats all that matters, surely you'd have been happier to shop around and get a new one cheaper, or a same age one for less or HHNNNNGGGGG!!

Credit history is only good if you need credit. Given that credit is based upon a lending equity ratio of roughly 1/10 you have just allowed a complete banker to levy another 100 billion in ten years time against a deficit of three point two cows, one fleeced sheep's fleece and about a thousand recyclable plastic thingies. LDV are still going to sink, however many Clio's on credit you buy.

I did near enough exactly the same this at 19 but worse. Luckily mine had a cooling off period which got swiftly used after my dad tore me a new ********.

Gotta love the people walking into this thread with an erection ignoring the fact the poor lad's been had saying 'Enjoy the car, ignore the rest" etc. :D

Smash it or burn it.

any company offering finance is legally bound to offer a 7 day cooling off period, Carcraft will do somewhere, it'll just be hidden in the masses of highly inflated figures somewhere.

Now James, you've had it a few days and hopefully realised what a mess you've got yourself into, 100's of forum members can't be wrong (can they?) I suggest you follow our advice take the car back, buy a banger for a few months while you save a little for at least a deposit, more companies will offer you finance if you have a deposit, and you'll get a better deal too.
