Yeah, I've found them ok, but they wouldn't let you do a proper test drive off the trading estate.

I also got my brother in law a focus from a place in Slough that was OK. No hard sell.
Agree, it's a shame a few finance sellers ruin it for the rest of the car supermarkets like Cargiant, FOW, Motorpoint, Hilton Garage etc.

Some places take fleets of cars and stick them on a forcourt with a price tag of cost + £x00.

I'm not sure why some, "certain" ppl are getting so excited and so distraught over this, Yeah it's a big mistake.... It's clear, but It's not you're money, so why worry? You can give advice, but to go beyond 15 pages of whats basically a load of "bullying" in some cases, Is rather sad, I think some need to get out a bit more rather than getting on their high horses on an internet forum over something that has nothing to do with them. :)

Whenever I buy a car, I always remove dealer stickers from the rear window - I'm not advertising unless they pay me...

Imagine if the OP had done the same - he'd have probably got a few "well done"s and told to sort the wheels out. How the little things make such a difference

He went into the whole deal blinded by how bad his Punto was. You could have tried to sell him a CityRover and he'd have snapped it up. This is made fairly obvious by quite how chuffed he is that his seven thousand quid Clio has a keyfob and electric windows. He'll have jumped inside, thought 'WOW THIS IS LEIK NOT MEH PUNTOZ' and then signed the deal.

In much the same way that somebody who had previously holidayed in a Caravan in Blackpool would feel like they'd hit the jackpot if they found themselve on a package holiday to Benidorm..

fox is right, OP is wrong, in many ways. Truths is I have never in my life seen a car with a carcraft sticker that is not driven by someone who looks liked they have never passed a GCSE....the cold reality is that if you buy a car from these people you have IQ issues.

Its a harsh lesson to learn but he may now think twice when it comes to his next car purchase.

Cor blimey guvna!

I hope to god that the OP is still alive. Someone should frward this thread to the FSA telling them to look into this sort of finance option. Its truely shocking that you can get a loan without a cooling off period!

I've just read through this whole thread and can see various points being raised. Carcraft do seem overly expensive (imo), however surely each person is judged on an individual basis? I understand how Carcraft works, (its car finance right?) but if they can supply a vehicle on finance to someone with a bad credit history allowing them to improve their credit rating, and if said individual is quite happy with their new "purchase" and interest rate surely thats a good thing?

On topic the OP's Renault isn't my cup of tea and not something I'd ever consider, but I wish him/her all the best with their new motor. Personally I'd be looking at something like this for my next car.

Now I'm sure there's plenty of people would argue the pro's and con's of what I'm considering but at the end of the day it's up to the individual to choose what ever they're happy with and what best suits their needs and requirements. Now there's no way I'd ever pay over 13K for a Fiesta and I wouldn't be getting it on finance but again thats down to the individual and if he/she is happy with their purchase then good luck to them :)

The thing is we're all laughing at James but there are obviously hundreds of other people who have been owned by the same thing, otherwise they wouldn't be in business. Look on their website, it's unbelievable! :D
