Piers Morgan with a brilliant quote on the rise and fall of equality

Lol, I love it, long may it continue to froth the frothers.

Unfortunate for the decent women it denies though, but comedy is mildly worth it.

There's nothing like arguing with imaginary view points, isn't? You all agree with Morgan in this case, I agree as well and so does the IOC, more or less (Hannay Mouncey would be not even close to these standards, considering the muscle mass visible in the picture):

Wrong. Mouncey competes in AFLW, where the testosterone limit is far lower than IOC regulations.

* IOC limit: 10 nmol/L
* AFLW limit: 5 nmol/L
* Mouncey's testosterone level: <5 nmol/L

Which just goes to prove my point.

Because of his genes swimmer Michael Phelps has an abnormally long thin torso, a huge arm span and size 14 feet.
This obviously gives him an unfair advantage over swimmers with a more normal male physique.

Should he be banned, or hand his medals back ?

That’s how he was born, totally different to changing yourself into a women so you have a competitive advantage.

If he were tucking his pecker between his legs and calling himself Michelle, yes. That would be unfair to female competitors

Sad times when saying the completely obvious is controversial. Men are on average stronger than women. And if men put on dresses and call themselves Alice, they’ll still be stronger on average than women.

And the thing is they know deep down it’s true. Hence why females to males can compete as males with no limitations or rules. Not true the other way. The world is going mad.

probably more people posted in this thread that think men competing with women is a good idea... we should stop humouring these people, point at them (like little kids would) and laugh... maybe then they will realise they are talking crap...

It's a shame that the majority of people just think of the Milly Dowler case when it comes to Piers.
I always wake up in a morning with him having a go at idiots and very rarely do I disagree with him.

No, because (a) he's not unique, and (b) he's competing with other males.

I feel kind of bad for the women spend their lives training only to place 2nd to a biological male. There will come a point when basically all female records go to trans athletes and maybe then there will be a swing back. For now just suck it up and smile you filthy bigots.

You should only be allowed to compete in sports as whatever you were born as. or have your own seperate event. like a trans olympics.

lol. You talk so much pants, mine has fallen off and i'm thinking of getting legless. Grow up, you are a clown in the very right manner.

What on earth did Psycho Sonny say wrong here?? I know it's a little irrelevant to the discussion, but I am missing what he said wrong to warrant that reply lol?

Why should he be banned? That makes no sense at all neither does your argument that he's got an "unfair" advantage.

Swimmers currently aren't segregated by the dimensions of their bodies (unless they're really small), they're segregated into male/female events and indeed they can compete separately if disabled.

Michael Phelps is male and isn't disabled ergo I don't think you've got much of an argument... you're just making a silly point you haven't really thought through.

Now you could perhaps hold an opinion that there ought to be further segregation within swimming, but that shouldn't mean Michale Phelps need to be banned but rather you might advocate for there to be some additional categories for shorter men etc.. I'm not sure that there is much call for this elsewhere so it is perhaps a bit of a non-starter.

So if there are more trans athletes then this problem goes away?

Potentially, yeah, it could be easier to make a third category for say trans women and indeed intersex people who have the physical advantages of a man but identify as female.
