Pizza hut

My local Pizza Hut is, and has always been understaffed! Takes ages to place an order, ages to get your order!

I have no issue with their pizza, but Dominos, Papa Johns and every other pizza place near by simply provide a far better service..

I know they are dirty and greasy but I'll do a Pizza Hut stuffed crust any day of the week.

Loved Pizza Hut parties as a kid, threw up at one despite my mother repeatedly warning me I had eaten too much - totally worth it :D.

I got a takeaway pizza from pizza hut a couple of months ago. South Carolina BBQ I think it was. It had a yellow drizzle on top that tasted worse than baby sick smells, truly awful. I actually complained (I never complain), and they sent me a £10 voucher, only to be used in store. I have no stores anywhere near me. I'm not fussed.

ASDA's over the counter pizza's use frozen base's, I've witnessed them being unpacked. I have no idea if any of the toppings were once frozen but I wouldn't be surprised nor would I be surprised if other supermarkets did the same. I do still buy them from time to time though.

For the fast food chains I think Domino's is best then Pizza Hut and Perfect Pizza. Never had a Papa Johns as there aren't any close enough to deliver.

99% of the pizza's I've had from Just-Eat vendors are dog****. Overcooked toppings or rock hard crust, 30lbs of cheese per pizza and that makes me gag and/or bland toppings. Only two places I'll accept a pizza from on Just Eat but only a pepperoni pizza.

The very best place near me to get a cheaper pizza that's not on Just-Eat or a big chain is actually primarily a chip shop that expanded the menu years ago to compete with modern Just-Eat vendor menu's with Kebabs and the like. There's another local chippy that does fried chicken :o

And talking about fried chicken, why does anyone think to compete with KFC if they are only gunna use plain flour on chicken and fry it, it's goddamn awful.

Very fortunate here, there's an Italian guy who has ran a small pizza shop in my town for over 20 years, his prices are still cheaper than most and the only downsides are the pizzas being one size only at 9.5 inches and collection only.

There is a fair sized PH near us, in Surrey Quays, Rotherhithe, if you go there any evening from say 6.30 p.m. onwards, it’s rammed, I’m not a pizza connoisseur, but I find theirs okay, I like the salad bar too, I eat peppers like some people eat apples.
They don’t do deliveries, so I sometimes order online, then collect, it’s always worked okay.
There is a small independent, nearer, that seems very reasonable, any 12” pizza, collected, £8.50, they do a great meat calzone for £11.99 as well, and a vegetarian one for £10.99.

First, Dominos happened. Then Papa Johns, Herbies and all the other chains happened

damn i love Herbies Pizzas, large 14.5" thin crust New Yorker with the mushrooms swapped for tandoori chicken :D
much prefer that to any of the bigger chains, sadly i moved away last year and there isnt one near me :(

Pizza hut to me is 1990s.

Pizza and fried chicken are the most common things in London.

Pizza hut is just old fashioned

I prefer to make my own but if I’m going to a chain I’d go to Papa Johns.

Pizza Hut are nice but way overpriced.

PJ’s is my favourite. They just taste fresher than others.

Fact is though, I very rarely get takeaway pizza now. It’s the biggest ripoff takeaway food there is. The markups are extortionate. Up to 900% in places. Supermarket fresh pizza is my go to now. It’s much better now than the old days of frozen stuff from Goodfellas. A good Asda’s pizza counter does the job for me. Fresh ingredients, whatever I like and all for a couple of quid.

Pretty much this, Asda or Aldi both have really nice pizzas for a fraction of the cost. And if we're really pushing the boat out, Chicago Town do a really nice pepperoni stuffed crust for £3.90.

I think pizza places like this are starting to become like cinemas, people just aren't willing to pay extortionate prices for them.

Not been to pizzahut in about 15 years, I didn't like the food I'm surprised they are still running.
They are enormous, sales in the billions. They only just get edged out by Domino's and that was only get recently.
