Planetary Annihilation - Kickstarter Project

Well me too, but as Mavor said they're all going to working flat out until the alpha release to add all the other units and extra touches.
I think I heard him mention post process effects still need to be added as well.

The dynamic lighting looks great already without that and I like the ever so slight 'cartoony' look to the explosions but not so much that it looks bad. They really took the art direction from the kickstarter video, which is cool.

The planet generator looks awesome, it's clear why it took a lot of their time to get it right, along with all the underneath stuff like pathfinding.
You can tell that they're all still really enthusiastic towards the game, not just working for a pay-cheque. They want to make it as good as they can, which can only be good for us as consumers, if they enjoy it I'm sure we will too.

Alpha testing from June to Sept, Beta ~Oct to Nov

The lighting from darkside to lightside is great, the long shadows and planet orbit just all look cool

It's early access alpha testing for those who backed early. Final release won't be until the end of the year, I presume the physical copies and the other backer rewards will come then too.

Just checked this out on YT and a bit of a read through the thread. Looks like it has a lot of potential. It definately needs to be polished, but it is still pre-alpha from what I have seen so I think it could end up being very good. And from the videos I have seen, it is being made by proper geeks, which is who you want making games! Not someone from EA who is doing there PR, who is 6ft2, tanned skin, surrounded by girls, who is doing it for the $$$ not the people sitting at home wanting to play.

I got my alpha key tonight and I installed the game, it's not big about 350mb in size. Not played it yet as there were only usa games on the go and I did not have a lot of time to get into the game.
