Planetary Annihilation - Kickstarter Project

Tried my first game last night, was going well and then it crashed but then it is early stage Alpha so can't really complain. The core mechanics seem to be working well anyway.

I'm not touching it yet either. I might give Beta a go depending on the state of the game but like CaptainRAVE, it takes some of the charm away.

I had the above opinion but I couldn't help myself in having a quick match with the ai. Overall very slick and looking good so far for a alpha, I'm possibly going to wait another month/few weeks before going back to it as the bug fixes are coming out every few days and some of them are really big ones and until optimization is started I can see a lot of players struggling on the current alpha build. Plus they've not even added the in game bug reporter yet lol

So, I got my key, downloaded the launcher, logged into that using my ubernet username and password. Then it downloaded the latest version and loaded up. Now it is asking for my Uber ID and password, I have tried my ubernet username and it does not work - what is it asking for with the Uber ID?

Think I just used the same id.

Regarding the price, remember you are paying for early Alpha access and this is the reason why:

"There has been a lot of reaction to how our project has been priced to work within the constraints of respecting the people who made the entire project possible, our Early Backers/Kickstarters.

Our pricing for this stage of early access was determined by our Kickstarter. The stages of our early access for ALL users, which was determined during our Kickstarter, is:

June through August: $90 for early alpha access, during the time where we're still locking down features and making tweaks to the flow of the game.
September through November: $60 for beta access. The game will be much more complete at this time, but with a lot of balance work still to do and more optimizations to get it working on as many systems as possible.
Retail: December 2013

This is the pricing determined over a year ago. Our Kickstarter set these levels, and while we understand people may not like it, it's the decision we had to make.

But that is our schedule, if you want to wait until the price drops to a level you're more comfortable with.

Please feel free to discuss, but please stay respectful to others in the conversation."

As a Kickstarter, I'm happy with that. Would be a bit of a kick if we forked out the money at Kickstarter stage and then they sell early Alpha access which was a benefit of backing for cheap bucks.

This tbh.

I was a bit disappointed that I didn't get alpha access with my level on KS. I'd be a lot more annoyed if people that were only just getting into it now were getting it cheap as.

I can understand why people are upset at the pricing structure. But they need to understand if they were given alpha for 20 quid it would pee off 44000 ks backers.

I find the Alpha access interesting. Their are a lot of bugs which Ubernet are working through. Next time you play you think cool that's been fixed but you end up with more bugs which weren't their yesterday. All in all I am still glad I backed at the KS stage, the game is looking good and very close to the original kick starter video.
