Plastidip

Bit of a revival and I haven't got time to read back the whole thread but where's the best place to grab Plastidip in aerosol cans, I want to see what my steel wheels would look like in white but using plastisip seems recordable without too much effort if I don't like it.

I searched arouond and everywhere seems to be £15.99 a can.

I did my wing mirrors in black at the weekend and it came out great. Its a shame it spat with rain slightly so there are some minor bobbles in it, but other than that its perfect. The Plastidip sort of 'self smoothes' so its really easy to get a smooth matt finish.

Really impressed with it.

Its also worth noting that while it may look expensive at £16 a can, in the bigger picture it can be cheaper than paint. I did another set of wing mirrors and that required a can of primer, the paint itself, and then a clear lacquer, which together came to over £20 for the same job. The Plastidip needs nothing more than itself.

Would perfer aerosol as I'm not sure if its going to end up destroying my dads spray gun if it goes off too quick but looks like that is my only option at the moment.

You don't need a spray gun, just use the rattle cans they supply/sell.

I think his issue is everywhere is out of rattle cans of white, so the only option he has is the tins which he would have to use in a spray gun.

Given the rubber nature of the stuff, I wouldn't want to put it in a spray gun tbh. I had to clear the nozzle of the rattle can a couple of times and it dry's to like a rubbery lump.
