Wouldn't that allow people to disconnect when they are in tricky situations? Only to reappear a little later once the trouble/enemies have left?

I'm curious as to how a disconnect then reconnect could possibly be abused? It's the same thing as standing still
Don't see how a disconnect with the body remaining could be abused.
Personally it's absolutely essential they add it, I have very limited gametime these days and I essentially had 2 hours wasted because members of our squad would get CTD or hangs. It's an unnecessary frustration that's an easy fix

Never know it may be easier to fix the crashes than add the rejoin.
I still don't get how some people are immune to death
. One guy running up the hill lvl 3 head lvl 2 body sks shot to the head then followed up by another guys m24 to the chest. Downs both of us then our last mate hits him twice in the chest with a m16 to only get headshotted in return. Not as though they had any time to heal .

Since playing on the NA servers I can actually hit people and not get done behind a wall or tree.... Have had a load of chicken dinners and 2nd places in Duo's!
I moved the NA servers recently and they did fair much better than the EU servers, but lately they have had issues. Switched back to the EU servers in the last few days and they have been pretty good.
Won in a squad of 3, no kills for 2 of us, but we played the final circle really well.
just be careful - I had a 'network lag detected' error last night a few times on the NA server. it freezes your character if your ping is too high, so I was in effect a sitting duck!! (think it's to counter to the lag switchers)
but yea in general the NA servers are much better, less lag desync and hit reg is day and night better than EU
I've had the game since launch and still thoroughly enjoy it! My only real criticism is the type of community this game attracts. Many of the players have migrated from competitive twitch shooters like CS:GO.
Unfortunately this means that the game is often taken far too seriously, and it's not uncommon to be on the receiving end of a load of grief if you're not adhering to a specific strategy.
That doesn't mean to say I'm gung-ho, or that I let the side down etc. I just like to have fun, first and foremost!
I even appealed to a few friends on my Steam friends list, and one of them actually remarked that I might hold him back, because he's been in the top ten for the past six games! Big whoop!

Got my first chicken dinner yesterday with a random squad. They played very differently to how I normally would (constantly driving car instead of being on foot etc) and definitely carried me even though I got 2 kills lol

you will always get the try hards - worry not about them. I'm sure there are plenty of guys on the OcUK discord who will be happy to take you on and play with a more casual attitude. if you want to add me on steam - I'm soloing a lot at the minute as my usual duo mate has temporarily abandoned me (@Boycey0211 !!) I'd be more than happy to have a run through on some duo's if you want.
