Ive noticed a lot more of this recently. Particularly on the EU servers. No one in the skies as I drop, no one above me when I land. Suddenly I'll hear footsteps in the building I'm stood in or beside.

The quick drop makes a massive difference. If you're not dropping quickly someone can get into a house way before you land (and close the doors so you don't know they're in there)

Not in the instances it's happened to me. It's been way off the flight path and I've had to glide down, looking all round me. 4 out of 6 games I played last Saturday afternoon it happened and again a few times through the week.
I don't like calling shenanigans but in each of those instances it's been almost too suspect not to.

Ah right, sorry thought he meant the entire player, chute and all was invisible. I know we can miss things and not notice other players but for me it's happening with a bit too much occurrence for me to be missing them every time.
Even had one where I went into a 2 storey building, with no roof landing, downstairs was fully loaded with loot but I hear footsteps upstairs. No one in their right mind would have ran past was there. That said if players are teleporting it's a high risk hack to be using as the loot is so random (albeit some areas have a higher chance) they could be teleporting into an empty room!!
 
There are wallhacks and aimbots, but nothing like you have described. Sounds like you're just not landing quickly enough and are being beaten to the loot.

In fairness that's what I originally thought. But there's just been a few weird instances (relatively rare admittedly but getting less so) where I've been 99% certain I have to be alone in an area only to discover/hear someone upstairs and also who by passes a floor full of loot??

Kill others? :D

Jump on the ocuk Discord and play with others will be the fastest way to learn. Most don't mind playing with beginners.

Tips wise point straight down to get to the ground faster. Best speed is 217+ you pull chute lower. Allows you to get weapons and the like faster. Can travel a long distance from the plane by pulling chute asap and tapping W every second or so.

Hold alt to free look. It is your friend to spot people whilst running. Using alt when still prevents you moving so less obvious.

If the circle is large don't bother hiding in a bush or grass they don't seem to render properly long range yet.

There's a lot to it but still boils down to good posistioning (high ground/behind them) and aiming, add in luck and you're good to go.

Get comfortable with dying a lot :D.
 
We picked this up last night, instant laughs and a lot of fun. Finding performance to be a bit of an issue, 5820k, 16gb, 980 @ 1440p and it's tanking around 40fps with most stuff on high. Are the ini tweak guides worth following, or does that sacrifice too much eye candy? Or am I better off buying a new GPU... :D
 
Came across a squad of exploiters yesterday, 8 left with the circle getting smaller, they were nowhere to be found - thought it might have been a buggy server, so killed one of our team mates to see if it updated - it did.

So we just idled for a while and boosted up as much as possible then when the very final circle closed in to kill everyone, our group stayed alive a little longer than these scummy ***** that had gotten under the ground to wait it out.

I hope they add an easy report system to ban exploiters.
 
I have just bought H1Z1 KOTK yesterday in the Steam sale as my first shooter on PC (previously only played sim games), does OCUK have a similar thread for KOTK (i couldn't find it on search) as would like to play with others to help me learn and get better.
