PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - Thread

How else are they going to cash out go on holiday whilst the game dies to p2w then come back and say "sorry wasn't our fault. Have you seen our new game? Promise it won't be the same"?

To think some people call my cynical

Just had an absolutely devastating last game, 2 players left, scuba steve and steve-o. Steve-o gets nailed and the guys who killed him get pounded too. Heard the last guy running up on scuba so he popped out and fired 7-8 rounds point blank into this guys face.

End screen rolls up and its a 2nd place, must have been 1 sec or so desync between the NA servers and us in the UK that let this guy go full auto at point blank. all three of the rest of us were convinced he had won the game.

A great laugh for the entire game though, cheers @GHANJAH WARRIOR some great craic.

basically its H1z1s audience.once hype dies down in next week will drop like a stone.

How's that working out @~>Dg<~ ?

I purchased this game and played it however i git a refund for the reason that i think it may be the next Dayz standalone.....ie: Unsupported in the future.
I hope its not but you never know, after all that crap that Dean Rocket came out with im not so sure of early access anymore.

Early access Dayz and PUGB could not be furher apart.
Both very popular at release of early access, both with significant glitching issues, both promise an awful lot. The only difference is PUBG has the chance to deliver on those promises, whereas the boat has sailed for DayZ now.

Not that different I'd suggest, in terms of potential for turn-out as being poor. Just need to see if they deliver on what could be. At the moment it looks like they will given the frequent updates etc. but I'd suggest it's too early to say they're that far apart just yet.

Looking forward to giving this a go. I am right in thinking that most games will last no longer than 15-30 mins depending on how well you do?

32 or 33 mins is really the max. I think on average probably about 15 - 20 mins per game. Depends if you jump right into the action or go far from the planes flight path.

Wutface.

For a start that are different game types. One is a survival game where you might last days per life, involving having to eat, keep warm etc etc. The other has games up to about 30 minutes, involve no survival aspects (aside from healing your self from damage) and plays very differently.

The patches have been pretty frequent as well as adding new content (stuff other than cosmetics as well) and beta access is coming by the end of the year. Dayz still isn't in beta. Not to mention its way more popular than dayz ever was (just take a look at steam charts, 3 highest player count ever on steam and the player base is growing loads every week).

Edit: oh and you can earn steam wallet money by selling cosmetics as well, game has basically paid for it self already and I've gotten my moneys worth (approaching 650 hours).

A lot of EA games are trash but this is the exception.

There must be some PUBG stats on that, but I can't find them with a brief search.

It really depends entirely on your play style - you'll last much longer playing the long game and avoiding others. But damn is that dull for those into PvP!

This game isnt going away anytime soon its currently the go to PC game ! Pretty much everyone know that has purchased it over the past 2 months hasnt stopped playing it.

3 Group games last night with only me standing left only to go lose the 1 vs 1 :( I was so gutted but you have to laugh it off.

First one ended up with the circle in the middle of a field closing in , I didn't know that after a set time the circle will completely vanish in the middle! now I know , anyway my life went down and the other person shot me. 2nd Game I push with my team up to the small circle wipe out 5 players and then dive on the floor trying to work out where the last player is , again circle moves in I panic and boom out from a metal container pops out a guy shooting me hard , I'm on the floor shooting rapidity laying down thinking my bullets are hitting him but obviously not ! I think this must be a game bug because your gun target is on a person but the bullets must be hitting the dirt before the person ? anyway I lost this 1 vs 1 ! Gutted and the 3rd game well 4 man team all a live we all group together and get killed by a team of 2 and 1 random bloke hiding in a shake ! lol. again we so should have won the game but hey ho , Loving the game so much even if you lose its still a buzz.
