PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - Thread

For me personally View Distance and AA set to Ultra, Screenscale 120 and Textures Low.

Everything else Very Low.

Without AA, spotting enemies is a tough time + High/Ultra Textures gives a lot more detail for the eyes to process on top of trying to find enemies.
 
You should have view distance on low for this game.

"Players always render regardless of the distance. You want VIEW DISTANCE at VERY LOW. It doesn't render the grass (bushes do render) so someone may think they're crawling in grass, however, to you they're just crawling around an un-rendered grass field, so basically they are in plain view."

Not that I play anymore, but this is a huge PITA and the sooner they fix it, the better. With scopes its a big advantage that they really shouldn't have and if you're ever wondering how that car knew where you were its because they saw you when the grass wasn't rendered.
 
Killed twice in 2 days in Yasnaya through solid brick walls. I know there is the bug that sometimes buildings don't render for people but I thought the bullets still hit the invisible walls? I've been totally gunned down through 2 or 3 walls with no windows :(

Nope... I've had the bug myself and the buildings completely don't render - you can shoot anything in your line of sight... It's stupid and abusable but I don't think you could easily win a game with that bug alone as the server still has an idea of where the buildings are so you find you keep getting stuck inside buildings and walls you can't see... You also can't interact with doors so if you get unlucky and end up in a bathroom/closet you're completely stuck unless someone else on the server opens the door for you
 
I had it the other day where buildings didn't render. Managed to land on the apartments but my character just bugged out until I alt F4'd and reconnected. I've also had a variation where only the "frames" of things rendered and I couldn't even walk near the building.
 
Yeh the grass render thing is a big problem, but almost everyone exploits it, except for me :) i have everything on ultra, i like my games to look decent when playing them, mind you, maxed out still dont make this game look that good.

it does render but not past about 100m.that why you never go in corn before the very end waves as you will be seen.few bad games this morning but banged in a chicken dinner for dinner time :p

what is your source for this? i thought all the game exploiting settings were patched a long time ago.

It isnt an exploit, more a failure of the engine since day 1 as it is common to everyone. I suppose the issue is they cant draw the grass to that distance without impacting framerate. Ive often seen players lying down in the distance thinking theyre in grass. Made me completely paranoid.
 
if you look on your map its one square roughly which i think is 100m.past that no.so save snaking on your belly till last 1/2 wave
