PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - Thread

I have hardly touched this the last month - it seemed to have more and more issues for everyone in my group that played. Should just rename it to battle cosmetics at this point really

Had 2 games last night, and that was all I could pretty much stand. The lag, inconstant hit registration and not to mention the cheaters just pretty much ruins the game.

Have to say hackers/cheats are much more apparent since the latest update.

It pains me to say this but it's starting to feel like WarZ, devs have made a bundle of cash from so now don't give a ****. Really hope I'm proven wrong but it

No idea where people are playing to be encountering cheaters every game, literally can't remember if I've ever encountered one.

Hell, someone probably deemed me a cheat the other day after doing a HS on someone whilst they was driving.

Bugs? Not really encountered many tbh

Ditto. I have 350 hours in PUBG and haven't encountered an obvious cheater once, which tbh is quite remarkable in a FPS. In CS you'll find a cheater every other game if you're not in Prime matchmaking and then have to deal with them for 30 rounds..

Playing FPP probably helps though, saw on Reddit that apparently most aimbots only work on the TPP platform which the leaderboards seem to backup also.

I've not played a while, but just catching up I see this in the latest patch notes...

Early Access – Week 31 – Patch Notes

Gameplay
  • Increased the blue zone DOT (Damage over Time)
Bug Fix
  • Resolved a bug where bullets would sometimes ignore armor
We have received a lot of feedback asking for improvement of the blue zone. We have decided to adjust the blue zone damage to encourage engagement inside of the play zone. From this new update, you will be able to focus more on the immediate, close-ranged skirmishes inside the play zone, instead of dealing with enemies outside of the play zone during the mid to late phases of the game. We would love to hear the responses regarding the changes from all members of our community once you’ve tried it in the test servers.

This could be a big change.

I haven't tried it yet, but initial feedback is that early circles not affected which imo is a good thing. Only mid to late circles do more damage.
But they need to make the final circles slower, currently there's very little chance to have fights AND move into next circle.

This update is probably to avoid another EVERMORE situation with IEM around the corner.

Glad they finally fixed the armour bug, I've been stung a few times from that.

Yeah its only rolling out on the test server this morning/today, will have a blast when I get home, not played this game for a week or two so it could go either way!

I've just got this, it's buggy and clunky imo. It's 70% running, 25% looting and 5% actually shooting. Drop in map, run, loot, die. Rinse and repeat. I'll give it some more time though.

I agree with that, latter circles are so fast I don't have time to stop and shoot and end up running into people because of the circle in my ass.

My PC is average at best and does seem to struggle in cqc. Watching others with good spec PCs it looks so much smoother and seems to give an apparent advantage.

Picked this up again this weekend. I logged just over 200 hours before the fpp update dropped and I’ve got to say first person makes it so much better. First person mixed with fog makes the game a borderline thriller. I’m so on edge when playing it’s great.

Noticed not much else has changed tho still a buggy unstable mess at times.

Will defo be playing it a lot more again tho.

On one hand I’m happy they’re tweaking it, nothing worse than getting shot in the back from someone way out in the blue. But on the other hand I would rather they added distortion to your vision or just reduced flat out reduced visibility in the blue (similar to fog)

100% agree with you on making the final circles slightly slower, IMO it should match sprint speed so you at least have a chance to move with it. Circle roulette can get legitimately get stupid sometimes, no cover and you have to move early due circle moving at twice sprint speed.
