PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - Thread

Ditto. I have 350 hours in PUBG and haven't encountered an obvious cheater once, which tbh is quite remarkable in a FPS. In CS you'll find a cheater every other game if you're not in Prime matchmaking and then have to deal with them for 30 rounds..

Playing FPP probably helps though, saw on Reddit that apparently most aimbots only work on the TPP platform which the leaderboards seem to backup also.

Hopefully FPP is the reason I haven't run into any blatant cheaters. I don't know how people can play 3P with FPP in the game.

I've not played a while, but just catching up I see this in the latest patch notes...

This could be a big change.

I always find that funny. The game is rubbish yet they will magically "fix" everything in the next month or two.

My biggest gripes:

1. The netcode. Oh my god the worst netcode ever in an FPS. Servers with lower tick rates than hello kitty online. As soon as you get into a firefight, game turns into a stuttery server induced mess of RNG.
2. Square peg moving in a round hole world. Clunky in every way imaginable.
3. A game engine so poorly optimized, turning on the crappy 3D body image in the inventory halves your FPS.
4. Being able to instantly kill someone with punches, yet 5+ handgun bullets won't.
5. The one foot vehicle jump that flips your vehicle upside down and kills you.
6. The grenades that push you a few feet and kill you, even though you were far enough away not to take "blast" damage.
7. Jumping through closed windows. Ya, OK?
8. The parachutes that get confused when you interact with other items in the world.
9. The doors that open/close when the server decides to.
10. The random delays in looting items.
11. The constant problems with sounds. IE: grenades going off three houses down and a huge explosion sound heard in your headphones like its at your feet.
12. The random FPS swings all over the map. Especially in places like Yasnaya. I don't know how people can play this game without G-Sync it's so bad.

At least I like the higher blue damage change coming.

I agree with that, latter circles are so fast I don't have time to stop and shoot and end up running into people because of the circle in my ass.

I think they should slow the last couple of circles up especially if damage is now increased. Will just force people to sprint into danger.

Would be nice if they increased late game blue damage but made the circles slower. Right now if you get caught in late game blue its pretty painful. I think they should increase the damage in all blues but slow down later circle collapse.

Also decrease the duration between mid-game circle collapse. I think mid-game is a bit too long and stale.

Its entirely possible you've been really lucky.

Until they opened up sales in china I think I only suspected it once, and a quick stat check proved it was legit.

Out of 5 games I've played over the weekend, 2 have been occupied by hackers oneshotting everyone while sprinting.

You can usually spot them when the killfeed starts going mental with all the headshots they keep getting about 2 seconds apart.

Also, just have a look at the stats. They dominate pretty much every leaderboard outside of FPP. I'd probably only play FPP if more of the regular gang did, its seems 50/50 split as to who enjoys it atm.

What kind of rank are the folk who don't experience hackers much?

Also, with regards to the blue, there is a slow side and a fast side depending on how far away the white is to the blue... if it is closer to the blue it moves slower than the blue which is further away from the white line.

I've just got this, it's buggy and clunky imo. It's 70% running, 25% looting and 5% actually shooting. Drop in map, run, loot, die. Rinse and repeat. I'll give it some more time though.

The clunkiness is what keeps the game excitement level up. Its hard to explain... Arma was like this too.

As to running and looting, it all depends on how and where you drop coupled with some RNG.

If you drop in hot you will be shooting for most games, with a little running and not much looting because everyone else does it for you.

Or right at the other end you can long drop in or grab a motor and long drive to a high loot zone and get back into the fray late game but well geared... or you might gear up fast and go hunting the drop line.

Around ~ #1000 right now, last month peaked at rank #300 in Solos. I only play FPP though, the occasional TPP squad depending on who I'm with.

I've never seen a hacker and I'm rubbish ;). How do you find out rank or is there no way?

https://pubgtracker.com/ Normally pubg.me also, but seems they haven't started tracking the new season.

Virtually no hackers in FFP though, nice rank. I made 14000th on 3rd person solo and deffo happen across more hackers as rank gets better.

Less and less asians in the lobby now after a wave of it.

Had 2 games last night, and that was all I could pretty much stand. The lag, inconstant hit registration and not to mention the cheaters just pretty much ruins the game.

Played this game for the past 3 months everyday and never experienced any of what you have just said.

Game Reg works perfect! Had lag maybe once or twice in the past 3 months, seen one cheater in over 100 games.

I do like this game. It is lots of fun with people you know.

The problem is that as a shooter it just isn't up there. 200+ hours in and it still feels like it's a lottery if I kill anyone. On other twitch games if I miss or get killed I pretty much know why, in this I don't.

I played my first game of PUBG last night, spent the best part of an hour running/sneaking around try to find someone, managed to last until the circle gameplay area was small, 15 players left.... then bang shot in the head by someone I didn't even see....Ill give it a week if it doesn't pick up by the I'm uninstalling the bloody game...

Or in short you played super passive and avoided contact until you had no choice and the someone got the drop on you so now you're rage quitting lol

I used to be very passive but im becoming more aggressive now and dropping more in hotter zones and heading towards gunfire. I still shy away from a drop zone if there are more than 3 groups + my group.
