PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - Thread

Had a cracking few games tonight with Boycey, Essex Jay and.... sorry dude can't remember your name; point is squads and duo's are where this is at... very good fun indeed!

Worst part about this game is how poorly the client and server handle CQB. As soon as two dudes start shooting on another at close range the game basically gives up and it turns into a laggy, stuttery, RNG mess. It simply cannot process whats going on as 20 tick rate is pathetic.

Well my rank 32 solo dropped and I'm around 1,000 now lol. Think I've got about 15 or so chicken dinners this season (solo/squad) which I'm happy with. I'm interested to see how the blue zone damage changes this week, I've stopped playing the zone in solo now, it's boring, I don't really care about it any more I just want to fight and kill people. That's another thing our squad game play has changed, instead of being cowards and sneaky we hear gunshots, we go and fight.

So according to the ToS, any ini editting is bannable. Which is stupid.

More stupid is how much you can edit in those files. Changing single values in a text file can remove shadows, trees and walls and even the fog in fog games. Never in my time playing pc games has this ever been possible in an MP game. Every other game has them locked server/engine side.

It seems bluhole have tried to counter one stupid decision with another stupid decision.

I thought this had been dealt with? An update in april removed the ability to remove trees etc, and the update in september forced things on so fog could no longer be removed?

but it keeps pulling me back ffs.

Thats because it is that type of game.

I Don't know if you ever played 'Rogue' or not.. but games where you are basically going to lose most of the time gets you more "addicted" than winning most of the time. Its like how gamblers get addicted.... they are not addicted to the feeling of winning... but the feeling of losing.

I love this type of system personally (ever since Rogue in fact) because it makes winning a real achievement.

Vega really is hating this game, every-one pretty much ignoring him, lol.

Tbh I share a few of his annoyances, I really don't enjoy playing this game much, it ****** me off much more than it makes me smile, but it keeps pulling me back ffs.

Haha ya but I complain out of love. ;)

The game can be extremely fun yet extremely frustrating. Could you imagine if a proper designer using a proper engine made this game? It would be amazing.

I don't agree. All the frustration would be removed... nothing would be clunky, it would all be streamlined and easy with nothing extra to think about and adjust to. Its what make things so satisfying when things go well for you (because of how you play around this) *despite* the negatives.

It is the imperfections that help to highlight/contrast perfection is what I'm saying. The imperfections *make* the perfect & without them the perfect is less perfect. Blah.

It would be boring. :p (but I see where you are coming from)

#32 is good going!
I think the patch drops tomorrow morning. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm assuming it'll force people into earlier circles as the damage increases the further you are out in the blue.
I've found the same, better to control your area of the circle and be a bit aggressive.

Well I don't know how crouch jumping through closed windows or dying because your motorcycle hit a 1 foot dip and flipped over a thousand times adds to the game-play experience.

Awaits the standard 'but I've played 7000 hours and never seen a cheater'
I was there and it is my first surefire experience of cheating of this nature. Seen a speed hack before, but never this. The kill feed was showing really fast kills, then us three got headshot headshot headshot in possibly the same second.

I wonder how many hackers there are that don't "rage" hack. You know the enemies you just thought were damn good.

Occasionally come up against people that just seem to know too much. Very few aimbots maybe 2 in my stupid amount of hours played.

If battleye is catching 12k a day you can bet there's another 12k that haven't been caught yet.
