PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - Thread

This game is brutal as I have played for few hours still no kills but is dead fun to play with team.

Dose anyone have any tips for sorting frame drops? As I get in to gun fights I get a sudden frame drop like 70% of the time?

Thanks Joshua

Yep same here, the game is poorly optimized at the moment but having a low/mid range system didn't help either.

Dropping setting helps but not much and then it looks terrible. I'm coming back to it after some updates, see if performance is any better.

Big frame drops are usually when your system is forced to use your pc ram as well as your gpu ram for textures etc.

What system are you running? Do you have an ssd? Are your power settings set to high performance?

I play with these... https://imgur.com/5OjdkPB on a 2500k @ 4.7 with a crappy 7950 atm, don't get any frame drops with fps @ 50 -70 fps

Don't worry about game not looking super amazing, you don't notice when playing and... loads of the top players play with low settings because it is eaiser to see someone due to the contrast between a player and the map.

Do you have enchanced pointer turned off in win 10 also?

i play on medium settings on AMD r9 380 4gb card, but i will change to low settings and see if it will help
i do not have an ssd for games.

Thanks Joshua

5820k gtx 1080, 1440p, all very low cept textures high and med view distance. I get 50-144fps depending on how close to yasnaya polyana I am.

Yasnaya polyana is a bitch isn't it mate, when I'm on the hill north of Yasnaya and I turn to face it I instantly half my fps, it's a joke haha

Also do you think intel processors are better for this game? I recently upgraded to AMD Ryzen 5 1600 and have been getting some frame drops here and there, I thought it was just bad optimization but I don't understand how it works.

What does everyone think about this new patch coming to the test servers next week? Supposed to be vaulting as well as an overhaul of the unreal engine to improve optimization, I'm really hoping they improve it quite significantly. Considering update progress has really slowed as of late..

the problem with people saying what fps they get they often put the highest fps they see.benchmark minimums and you see often a different story.that being said with a decent system a 7950 is still a pretty decent card.i know i been testing a couple in a older rig with modern games and they are pretty good still.

Thank the lord vaulting is coming.

I thought people liked dry humping 2 foot tall walls and not making it over? ;)

I avoid Yasnaya like the plague unless the circle forces me there. Whatever is in that city, they need to fix the FPS halving... and it is all CPU based. You know your game has issues when a 5.2 GHz 8700K is "CPU limiting" you down to 90 FPS and your Titan-Xp is going "wtf?", LOL.
