PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - Thread

I've seen both, I initially thought they were dodgy. But Miccoy's you can clip from almost any game as players will scan areas, happened all the time in CS.

The AK spray is a spectator cam bug, it's very broken and doesn't show the player's recoil/aim.

Suspect clips doesn't automatically make anyone a cheat.

doesn't automatically make you a cheat i know but if you watch the first mccoy one he is going to the people in smoke on the first guy he shoots he then just pulls onto the other in smoke with last bullet.he knew he was there.then runs instantly to the other guy he didnt see.could be amazing game sense. he does play though as he has a esp. you do check and pre aim places but holding on places where guys are you cant see is very suspect.

I really hope the AK spray was something to do with the spectator cam because it was unreal. Looked like a full 30 or 40 bullet controlled spray while aiming right to left.

Can't draw any conclusions with the spec cam. If you rewatch it his crosshair is trailing the vehicle, so that's completely off never mind the spray control which looks almost static.

The first one is spamming smoke and the second one he is shooting out the wheel of the vehicle.
The most suspect clip of him you actually didn't post: https://clips.twitch.tv/SarcasticLivelyMomPeoplesChamp But even this, if you watch it back in half speed, he's just scanning the slope of the ridge down to the building's windows. Any decent player will be making those movements.

Don't know why they are pushing the E-Sports angle so hard anyway. The game has no shortage of popularity without it.

They need to 100% focus on the game performance, bugs, features imo.

I think it's ESL pushing hard rather than Bluehole tbh, ESL knows the audience is there so they want to maximise the opportunity.

Bluehole would have made some very easy fixes by now if they had put any priority on the game as an eSport. I think they will do so in the future as it makes sense to, part of the reason CS has been popular for more than a decade is because it's such a good eSport. But even that took a long long time.

My opinion is that Bluehole is treating these events as a test bed to see what they need to improve on.

I just cannot see this game as a full blown E-Sport. The LAN requirements are just any organisers worst nightmare. There are major tournaments with like 8-12 teams that struggle to keep to schedule. Never mind having 100 players on stage at once.

Also it's incredibly boring to watch at the moment. I cannot last more than 5 or so minutes tbh. Would rather watch one of the top streamers play a solo game. I think it's fun as a one off event. Like a the Royal Rumble in Wrestling. If they did the Royal Rumble every 2nd week it would be sooo boring.

its not really a esports game.by that i mean its only going to be played by mainly youtubers or streamers at events.4-5 a year.

many of the best players have already said they not interested like shroud for eg.also when you factor in logistics how would you get 100 pros if there is even 100 for every match ? you cant.so it will just be a event game.4-5 per year.

If they want their game to last long term:

  • Add a new map every 6 months
  • More varied weather (night map would be awesome)
  • Add a tonne more of customisation/skins for your character (Players enjoy unlocking new stuff that can make their player character unique)
  • Have awards/titles for those in the top 1000/500/100/50/1 of the leader board every season
  • Allow the player base to purchase dedicated custom servers and allow them to edit a whole bunch of settings
  • Soft region lock so that those with a ridiculous ping are unable to connect to the server
  • frequent updates / QOL such as refined UI on both main menu and within the game
  • Bullet penetration through wood and some other materials

huh, how? ryzen 5 1600 & R9 380x and all I can muster is about 50-60 with those settings, even see drops down to ~40

I have an 8320, with a 390X and have awful FPS with everything set to as low as possible. I mean most of the time between 45-60 but it can dip badly at times.

And optimise the engine.

Time wise it's not an issue, it's 8 games over 2 days. A lot of people do that in one evening. The main issue is making all the systems running perfectly, something that ESL doesn't have a great track record with.

Currently it's far from being good to watch, but it has potential. If you could spectate from in game and follow which players you wanted or to free look around the map, have the audio from the teams, toggle commentary. It could be very good.

The IEM event is literally only for pro teams, hence the qualifiers. The invited teams are all pro rosters. It's 20 teams, so 80 players. ESL fly's all the players to the event, that's pretty standard for big events.
Logistics of players isn't really a issue, ensuring no technical issues will be the biggest hurdle imo.

yea that's what I'm seeing too (roughly) so not sure how the poster is getting a solid 50-70!!
TBF my mate claims 60 on high settings, at 4k with a 970. So I always take every fps quote with a pinch of salt.

Im not lying.

2500k at 4.7Gh with 50% to 70% usage. 7950 @ 99% usage overclocked to its maximum with 8Gb 2133 ram @ 1866 as tight as they will go. Win10 with high performance power mode & on an SSD. Running in fullscreen with the settings supplied above. I don't get any noticable dips with these settings, so I don't know what to say.

What gpu usage do you guys see? How fast are your threads? Is that 8320 super overclocked to match? Or running at stock?

What fps do you see in the lobby?

Double mega edit:

Are you guys running with the extra start up parameters still?

I was forced to use them months ago to get playable frame rates.. then there was an update to the game that broke it for me... I needed to put the page file on another drive which fixed it... ,but then there were awful dips. BUT these went away as soon as I DELETED all the extra start up parameters. I don't know if that was optimization or what... long story short try the game without any start up parameters if you are still using them.

Sorry mate I ain't calling you a liar, just curious as to how your fps are so high and constant.
I've no start up parameters, cpu is at 3.8 across all cores with about 30-40% usage and gpu usage maxed.
