Unfortunately, this means the steam numbers for PUBG will come back down to earth once the game launches in China officially. It will no longer have more concurrent players than rest of top 10 combined. In game items will probably also go down in value, as China is world's biggest consumer of digital/IAP purchases. Steam players will probably get launch bonuses but none of the steam items will be transferrable to Tencent's version of the game.

Test server unplayable due to lag again, new UI is a bit all over the place too, makes friendlys too hard to spot on screen, prefer the bright blue icons

They need to make it so Chinese players cannot play outside China. Keep all their cheating over there. Won't miss 'em one bit.

That is what they will do, part of the deal will be to wall off PUBG to chinese servers. I am pretty sure they won't be missing you much either.

The major complaint on the official forums is that the artillery is deafeningly loud, I didn't think that at all but then I've also seen reports about people boosting their audio to 200% to hear footsteps across town so wonder if thats it.

Anyone else think its too loud or fine?

I thought it was very loud when caught in the red zone, but it probably should be so I'd say leave it as it is.

It'll definitely mean some volumes will need to be turned down a bit though, especially headphone users.

What the heck did they do to parachute movement? It is no longer bound to the player movement keys and stuck on WASD. How stupid is that.

Also, can't play on the test server anymore that lag there is atrocious.

hahahahahaha a direct hit is about x1000 louder. on headphones almost unbearable.

New sound is pretty mental, needs a slight tweak IMO as its much louder than anything else now. I muted a few times when caught in it

Also got the AUG from a crate last night, that thing absolute shreds at close / mid range
