Got a total 84 hours logged on steam now. Absolutely loving every second of this game. Solos aren't for me duos tend to be more try hard for me and squads are just fun although we end up winning more squads than duos!

Won a fair few games at this point but just can't beat 2 wins in a row no matter how hard we try!

Absolutely love the m4 best gun in game. And the sks needs a serious re-working imo not even worth picking up.

What's everyone's favourite place to start off in? I'm all about bunkers or georgopol.

M4 has the highest velocity so it's easy to get those long range shots.

I've had a lot of kills with the SKS, it's my "god weapon", use it more with 4x than 8x tho.

My game improved immensely when I started playing it Arma style instead of H1Z1 style.

Squad play is more fun but much more challenging.

You'll spend a lot of time laying on the floor (well I do anyway

) but getting a kill feels rewarding and the leadup to combat/suspense is second to no other game I've played.

Nothing quite like knowing someone is in a building and hunting them down only to have the sod come behind you and set off a heart attack just before the spray and pray ensues

my solo story this morning. Land - get m4, x8 scope, med kits etc - happy days. In the middle of the circle........check a few other houses, all kitted up, circle moves, i go, circle moves again, I go again......15 mins - Not seen a single soul anywhere despite scanning with x8 scope. 20 people left, move up again, scan, BANG BANG - 2 shots dead..............FFS

top 20 finish, never fired a shot, never saw a single person or even heard a car.

That's happened to me sooo many times.

I think my technique for getting top 5 (top 2 was my best, solo and team) is improving, though.

I think people don't really go to the middle of the circle right away which is why you found it empty. Going to the middle effectively means you're surrounded whereas creeping the edge means you only have to cover a few flanks.

Second this pretty much. The middle circle is a deadly game as you have to look from every angle.

Best strat is to move in with the edge of the circle preferably along a ridge.

Can get a lot of top 2's, me and my mate managed to **** up at 2v1 last night when down to the last 3. ARGH!

I think patience is the biggest learn curve, being a bit of an all guns blazing kinda guy on CS:GO, this was a massive shift in playstyle

We find that gearing up and plowing into the middle of the circle works pretty well, just camp out the floor of a building with crossfire and hang tight

Camping middle circle has won me 2 games. One camped top floor with uzi on stairs second I just lay still in the middle watching them kill each other before taking advantage of the final guy having just survived the penultimate fight

I guess it can work for some people, but if you get unlucky with the circle change, you can be caught horribly exposed from all sides.

Seen a death derby a couple of times in the last circle now, actually got stuffed out of a chicken dinner chance by some really poor collision detection that had a driverless car run me over even though I was nowhere near it. Also been getting silly stutter on the EU servers for some reason recently, particularly annoying when I straffed to a corner - stutter - now im out in the open with some guy running straight at me. Dead. Switching to the US for a bit.

Ive tried camping the centre a couple of times but its a long period of boredom then mass panic for the last two minutes as everyone arrives from all directions. Running the edges is a lot more fun.

I was with the house yes. I couldn't believe my luck when it zeroed in on that

. The second one I just lay in a bush using alt to look around without moving(proof the average player is a t-Rex!(I think I have the right Dino

)).

Most of the time I get screwed by the circles making me run across to the other side

Favorite places for me is the military base, the school, hospital and the power station.
