PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - Thread

Ironically enough, it was only the ranked game though :D Or at least, what we saw from the few other games we played.

What you have to appreciate is some people are ridiculously good.

One of the guys I play with has 13,000 hours in PUBG. Some people play 10 hours a day, 7 days a week for the last 7 years.

I have over 3000 hours now, and maybe 4 years, and I'm only average I'd say.

The ones to watch out for are the low level bronze players, it's usually those ones that are cheating, although there seems to be a trend of people playing on second accounts, although I find that dubious in itself.

PUBG is a mess though, at one point it got a lot better for cheating but since the game went free it got significant worse, and what's worse the Devs don't seem to care, and these accounts are still buying the micro transaction cosmetic rubbish, and all they care about it money.

Strange how it feels different to each person. This ranked season for me I'm way above my average for kills and damage, everything just seems to be clicking.

But no doubt I'll get a week when I can't hit anything and lose every 1 on 1 fight I have and will probably bring my averages back down.

I'm not an aggressive player, neither are the people I play with so for me getting over 1000 damage is very high in ranked and I've done it a few times this season with plenty on 700+ rounds to.

Yea we are the same with the consistency though, some days we are getting almost back to back chicken dinners, had a few this afternoon actually.

Other days, it's like the entire day just sucks. I'm sure there is some algorithm working in the background it something.

Yer I do appreciate that, fortunately this one was clear cut. The whole pre-firing

Obviously not arguing the guy wasn't cheating, I've not seen the reply, but generally pre firing alone doesn't mean anything, with good headphones and a bit of practice you'll get used to knowing when people are going to emerge, as for playing bolty peek-a-boo I pre fire all the time.

How many hours do you have?

850. :D We are old schoolers, we played from pre-season tracking - I can't even remember when the Seasons officially begun.

I will share the video later - if it shows death cam :)

the thing is most vets and players now are better than the avg fps player you come across. for eg i have nearly 6000 hrs of playing. so do many long term players. still best fps game there is no aim assist either. also because of all the other crap fps games like cod and battlefield struggling people have gone back to pubg and nearly 800000 people are playing daily. which is cool.

as for chicken dinners winning games what time of day you play makes a massive difference to how hard it is and how skillful players will be . early morning uk till about 6pm is easy. 8pm onwards and its like you playing a whole different game. which is when most of the best players will be on and the games are a lot sweatier.

The only truly suspicious things I tend to come across now I'm back into this is people rapid firing DMRs with absolutely zero recoil.

I'm sure there's plenty of people with wall and radar hacks, but when you get killed by someone from 500m away who rapid fires a MK12 into your chest and you go down within a second, then watch them play after your team has died? I don't care what attachments you have, clicking as fast as possible with zero recoil is just so obvious

Sorry missed this, yer I appreciate the game has probably changed a lot. We used to play a lot at a period - then dropped away quickly. We have never really played games with any assist, cod is absolutely horrible.

This whole leaning left and right, whilst crouch toggling, moving left and right, and firing a DMR :D Yer we didn't have that when the game came out :D

I don't find it too bad cheating now and I have been doing pretty well up until this week, now our duo is struggling a bit. I'm trying to use the Mini 14 more, it's definitely the best DMR for me now, closely followed by the MK12. They could probably both do with a slight nerf.

Sssshhhhh! I've got so used to the mk12 now, hopefully they don't change it.

They need to tweak 5.56 DMRs, either smaller magazine size or slower fire rate. Since the Dragunov was nerfed, the 5.56 seem superior, particularly when everyone drives around and most fights now tend to be closer.

Dragunov is ******* useless.

Each to their own but I will play a bolt gun over a DMR anyway.

I will say one of the 5.56 DMRs is dog **** as well, QBU is it, get that one on Rondo, I dunno wtf they did to it but it's awful, I played it the other day, never again.

I do hear most people raving about Mini's but personally I don't get on with them, it's the horizontal deviation on the recoil I don't like, it jumps a bit, I'm probably too focused on going for headshots.

I'm not a DMR fan though, other than the Mk14, and I play that close range, and keep my bolty.

My gang have only played TPP since our recent return after a solid 4-5 years off.

Call us noobs all you want, the game is much more fun in TPP, I almost feel like it's the way the game was mean to be played :p
If you're enjoying it that's the main thing. I found TPP lobbies to have more alive at the end and then it's a **** show of everyone spamming the camera behind cover and having to run for it at the last minute.

Yup my experience of TPP is it's just camp mode at the end, if you get the zone at the end with a good position, you can just hide behind hard cover watching, and there is literally nothing the other team can do, or Visa versa, obviously. It's not for me.

Why is it that when you have an amazing start to a game, fully looted, everything you need, zone is going your way, you end up dying in some stupid way?

But when you drop the other side of the map to the first zone, scrapping around for loot, relying on 25 bandages to keep you going, you end up winning?

Yeah, the last week or so games have been tough!

We started playing probably 2-3 weeks ago and were getting at least a week a night, but that's dropped to a win every couple of days recently. People either have god like aim and down you in four perfect shots, or we've just been ruined by zone placement.

Like you say though, the wins are much sweeter when they're rarer!

We're still playing casual as two of our usual quad aren't level 80 yet, so looking forward to seeing the differences soon!

Waht level are you all?

The game has a tier system (of sorts) if you drop in a team with mostly low level players it tends to group you into games of similar levels.

I know this because very occasionally ill play with my step son whos really low level bronze, it'll be put into a match with him and two other noobs but the entire map is full of noobs, its great fun for me its like easy mode.

When I play with my normal crue the level is very high.

I'm much preferring ranked at the moment, so much less wtf moments, we are coming accross too many cheaters in regular mode, all very low level bronze, one guy yesterday shot one of us out of a speeding buggy, first shot, we specced him after and he did it several times, all one single headshot just within 100m , with a dragunov.... he was tracking people through walls, but then otherwise behaved like a noob, like couldn't navigate over obsticles etc.

Ranked the skill level of average is higher, but you can jsut see that its skill, sure I die a lot as well, but its just not those "no way mate or wtf" moments we are coming accross in regular. Its not evey game, but every couple of days, they are getting temp bans but again, PUBG is awful for this. One of us knows one of the PUBG partners, so we will send the recordings over to them to get teh perma bans. Although that takes time and you feel its all in vein anyway as they'll just make another free account.

Because you have to pay for ranked, it makes it a lot less appealing to cheat.
