PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - Thread

See.....

I'm so inconsistent in this game, I'd say 70% of the time I play like ****.

Today wasn't one of those days, played about 4 games, we didn't win but plenty of kills and damage each round and felt like I was playing well and really enjoying.

Why can't I be like this all the time? I know it's all in my head.
Bot lobbies :p

I think there is some sort of SBMM applied. We played duos and we messed around for a few games to test it and after about 5 games without a kill got put into much easier lobbies. Not necessarily with more actual bots though.

Yea maybe.

I know there is a level based system, because occasionally I'll play with my step kid who's like low level bronze, if I par with him then drop in a 4 man with 2 randoms, it'll almost always be a game full of really low level and low skilled players.

But I always thought that alone isn't the best, because levels are from experience/play time but doesn't necessarily tie in with skill, you can be max tier 500 and still not be great at the game.

You might be right though, because we drop in to standard games and sometimes you just seem to get absolutely rinsed, and then others not.

I always used to avoid ranked because of sweaty players, but that if anything seems to be more forgiving then standard these days.

Also makes you wonder how many people are cheating in standard mode, I noticed a whole ton more since the game went free, this was always going to happen. Even dropped in with some randoms, guy on our team was cheating and admitting it openly on voice chat, just said he can make another account when he gets banned.

But makes you wonder how many of those who are smarter/ better at hiding it.

I dunno.

Literally all weekend its been Vikendi-Deston-Vikendi-Deston with the odd Rondo (= back straight out). 30+ games and Erangel once, no Miramar. Joke.

Yeah I dunno why they force maps on you, everyone wants map selection back, no one minds about wait times or bots. If people dislike bots that much play ranked.

To be honest.....Just play ranked, I honestly think its the better game right now.

Vikendi is ****, the old one was one of my favourite maps, the new one is ****, polar bears, seriously? Aside from that its just a big round island, no real features, one compound just like any other, stupid snow storm, borring.

Rondo....dont even get me started.......

I dont mind most of the other maps, if evenly rotated around, I dont mind Deston or Teago for example, but no when they force it on you over and over again.

Anyone getting 100% CPU spike since the last update? I'm on an old 8700k running at 5.0G and never noticed any cpu issues prior to that update. Dropping priority of tslgame.exe to low helps out a little sometimes but then it just spikes back. Only playing at 1080p with most things on very low.

Played this again a couple of days back, 2nd ranked game - clear cheater killed us both (aiming at walls etc). Is cheating still a big issue or were we just unlucky? :)
I'm not the best at spotting it but think it has got worse, still in the minority though.

Apparently they are making a UE5 version of the game.

Yea the cheating got significant worse when the game went free, this was always going to be the case, there is less cheating on ranked, a lot less actually, but depending on what level you are you might find it more difficult.

I actually prefer ranked though, I find it easier if anything.
