I've never played Arma or mods derived from it, I've had no problem with this at all. It's basically FPS controls.

I mean, I'm terrible at it, but I pretty much know the buttons at least :p

Not really. Standard left click to win, right click to win faster.

Tap right click for ADS,hold for weird TPV aiming.
F - pick stuff up/interact
C-crouch
Z-prone
V-fpv toggle
B-toggle fire mode
Shift-go faster
Alt-freelook
Scroll-change weapon
T-abuse others in game
Ctrl+ T - mute abuse

Don't think there's anything else.

If you're anything like me you'll get to use W + shift + alt and F for around 5 minutes then die and start again
 
Oh, something I recently found out....

When firing a scoped sniper rifle, hold on to left click to remain scoped and see where your shot went.
If you simply click, you'll drop out of scoped view and reload the next round.
 
I had a couple of crashes mid game last night for the first time - v annoying! They need a rejoin feature as it tends to happen just walking around so there is definitely potential to restart client and carry on!
 
3rd again, just cant get across the finishing line.
Ive had 4 games now where I come 3rd in a 3way fire fight at the end.
 
What sort of performance do you guys with beastly PC's get? i.e. 1080/1080ti's? I can just about go near a big city but my FPS drops loads. (AMD8350 and 2 x R280's) I also set everything to low but leave the view distance far.

Started to play on the NA servers, OMG what a difference. I'm getting into the last 20 now with winning various firefights. Before sub 20 position was down to being sneaky, now on the NA servers I can actually drop players. Since playing NA I've had 6 kills, finished in the top 5. It's a night and day difference for me!

Still no chicken dinner after 30 hours. :(
