PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - Thread

Anyone else getting bad lag at the moment on PUBG ? Tried a few different servers and been having lag issues in every game. Sound has also gone a it flakey too. Sometimes background noise cuts out for a couple of seconds.. Can still hear my footsteps but that's it.

I had some bad lag last night. Was getting shot at and went behind a building, was behind it a few meters when I suddenly died and my body jumped back to where I was a second earlier

Yeah getting some horrible rubber banding going on at the moment both EU and NA. Can't open doors/pick stuff up and warping back a good KM every so often :(.
 
I have never laughed playing a game as much as I laugh at PUBG. I know people take it really seriously but for the most part most I'm finding it refreshingly hilarious. Best game for god knows how long, even with the desync etc. Its as good as the early DAYZ mod days, part of me does hope though that later in the development when servers are released someone mods it to get rid of the circles and have an open world sandbox game from it*

* if that weren't to ever happen I wouldn't care, I really love the circle game even though its a bit rapid in the later stages when playing squad games.

Just as I logged off a friend of mine and I got a 2nd place finish last night - couldn't sleep for ages!

Would've probably won if I'd have healed instead of trying to revive :(

There is bullet drop. I was using an M416 shooting at someone with an 8x zero'd to 600m who was approx 800m away. I had to compensate for the bullet drop. At much shorter distances it might not be that noticeable and it probably depends on either the caliber or the "range" of the gun.

If you are referring to the video, he probably zero'd the gun.
 
So how often is this patched, and how much gameplay/engine wise is likely to change before an official release?

I've not taken as much of an interest in a game for quite some time, so I'm interested in what's in store....

Watched a recent Nerd Cubed video of this... I'm interested. Question is...

Having not played Arma or any of its offshoots, am I going to have to learn a **** ton of keyboard commands to play this effectively? Don't judge me... I used to care but I got lazy :P

I ask because it appears that Arma has loads of key commands. Perhaps this is stripped down?
