PlayStation 4 Pro in-bound

I have eyes, so can see.

I would have liked to see it in a home environment.

well once it's taken out of storage i'll take some pics of it working in a home environment. but by then it will likely have sold out since it's now EOL stock.

therefore probably best you take a trip to currys.

however i bought mine direct from sony and didn't even see it in the flesh. bought it based purely on the 2 above reviews albeit it's not my model in those reviews mine is the w809c.

How much did you pay?

I like the look of the X9105C from Sony.

£449 :D

it's £729 in currys

I would never of bought it if it wasn't for the price tbh.

It's was in the sony refurb section. Which if you read the following

Refurbished models are products returned to Sony under the following circumstances: change of mind, faulty out of box, box damage or minor cosmetic imperfections. These products will be fully tested and repaired where necessary by an authorised repair centre. Whilst many of these products will be in as good as new condition, we cannot guarantee refurbished products sold will be delivered in the original packaging and may have minor cosmetic imperfections such as scratches, marks or discoloration. All refurbished products come with a minimum 12 months manufacturer's warranty.

Mine looked perfect. it wasn't in the original packaging however.

their current selection of refurbs are nowhere near as good a deal in fact a lot are overpriced. however mine was an impulse buy. i had been eyeing up the w805/w807 for a few months @ £679-£800.

when the w809 came up for £449 it was too hard to pass up. 12 month warranty direct with sony so i have more than ample time to send it back should i find any faults with it.

I do personally think the main reason for this PS4K is because of the release of 4K blu ray players and the PSVR. Clearly you want VR to work as good as it possibly can since first impressions count a lot and keep up with the Vive and Oculus so it seems like this is a good idea in that respect. The PS3 was also a great blu ray player and many people used it as there main movie watching player so i can see why would want to capitalise on that again for 4K.
