I would have taken the console back. You paid for sealed and unused so that's what you should get.

On other note, tried the new FF15 demo, seems to run worse on my pro compared to my original console

Had a go on Ratchet and Clank last night, have to say for a £350 device it looked stunning on the tv. I have an expensive PC with a high end G-Sync monitor and this is up there in quality very impressive job here.

Yes PC is better but this is the start and if developers start using it properly and with Sony always having the best exclusives (for me as all xbox games come out on pc) it's good times ahead.

I've been pretty impressed luke I said before until I tried Watch Dogs 2. Fair enough the character models and most of the interiors look very detailed and sharp, but the open world looks so bland compared to GTA. The LOD at range when looking through a sniper rifle is some of the worst I've ever seen :eek:

Dude take it back and get it exchanged for a new unit.

Well there's your reason why you have a previously opened box, you have been sold a 2nd hand unit which someone was not happy with.

The offer ended yesterday. Was PS4 original 500GB + any 5 (non-FIFA) games, and get £175 off the Pro. Was a good deal as there's no chance of getting 175 quid for that elsewhere.

That would be straight back if that were me.

I got mine from Game, finally used my credit that I had for a long while, no issue at all with it being opened.

I'm very tempted to upgrade but then on the other hand I can just buy an XB1 for a similar price that it will cost me to trade my ps4 in and upgrade.

I really dont know what to do whether to buy an XB1, upgrade to Pro or stick with my PS4.....

I would just do it, even buying at £350 is worth it imo.

Its been out a week and you can already see how good its going to be with the few patched game out now.

I use my XB1S the most and this gives a idea of how Scorpio is going to be, great time for consoles.

Isn't a lot of the issues you describe more the fault of poor development than the hardware itself?

Mine playing BF1 hasn't even made a noise yet, not even on the other 3-4 games i've played. So noisy while downloading an update, something is wrong with it.

I had to have my old PS4 under my desk as it was so loud my mic would pick it up and it'd be audible over my headset - plus with streaming i couldn't have that noise in the background. Now with the Pro i've got it on my desk within arms reach and not heard it once.

Do you have a 4k TV?

I don't yet, so Im holding off buying the newer consoles until I have a 4k TV (maybe next year sometime).

Im perfectly happy with the standard PS4 and XB1.

No I do not have a 4k and probably will not for a couple of years. I am happy with mine but for some reason I am so tempted to do it I dont know why

Hmmm...mine is def audible when it's sat on doing nothing. I usually game with a headset and didn't hear it playing BF1 last night, but gonna listen to it properly over weekend with a few games and see. Was audible installing COD!!
